I would not personally call it bad, but it was pretty annoying to me most of the time.
Kids, adults and ships were acting like they all have some kind of a mental disorder. I didn't find any of characters likeable, I couldn't emphasize to anybody. Pacing was pretty sluggish to me and I had to force myself to finish it.
It has some interesting moments, but I don't understand all the praise it receives.

Well there is a new Gundam show practically every year. It is by far the most popular mecha franchise so obviously it will see the most representation even on a board as contrarian as /m/ is going to be great than anything else. Add on the fact that many people got into mecha and anime in general through Gundam and that is by far the most popular /m/ franchise outside of Japan and the 80% Gundam makes sense. Also /m/ is totally autistic about Titanfall because of an interview where one of the devs said that titans weren't mechs so it makes for easy shitposting in any thread discussing it.
