>there will never be a gundam MMO where you can build and customize your own mech
>even if there was it'll never be released in the west
why is there a serious lack of release for gundam games in the west when compared to asia? The Dynasty warrior gundam games seemed to be doing well every time they released in the west, hell we got 3 of them.

Because the only gundam shows that succeeded here were wing and g.... (both of which failed in asia)
>Asian market is best market
>failed product succeeds elsewhere
What would you do OP? sunban is in this to sell toys and make money, not appeal to a token minority of westerners who are part of their loyal.
Tldr; it's not worth the risk

I'm no expert in marketing or sales, but I don't see their brand succeeding in the west if they don't at least promote it through merchandise, no matter how limited. We rarely get any good gundam vidya, and when we do it usually sells out fairly quickly.
Because Gundam came out when Dragon ball/Z, FotNS, and Akira was popular, making any Anime that wasn't pretty much 'art' or about punching shit in the face a complete failure.

We got 4 dw gundam games, one was a ps3 exclusive
Cosmic Break was fun till CS decided to throw in fuck tons of moes every month.

Votoms fits better as an MMO universe, since there were many different battle sites for the years and there was wider choice of customising variants.
By the way, it would be nice to see a Red Orchestra 2-like game about Astragius 100 years war with ATs and AAT rifles.
