Is there any mecha show where tanks and other conventional fighting vehicles aren't just cannon fodder?
Dougram. Duey combat helicopters are easily one of the most frequent foes the Fang of the Sun faces, almost always supporting Combat Armor groups. Ground vehicles and footmen with anti-CA weapons also get fair use, or even kick serious ass in the case of J. Locke and his Native Dancer squad.
One example is in the very second episode or so. A man steal a Soltic to try and attack a shuttle taking off, but he is stopped when infantrymen just roll up to him in a jeep with an anti-CA gun and shoot the cockpit.

Super Robot Red Baron also counts, in a sense. The SSI manned a jeep and firearms, yet still managed to help Red Baron out of a pinch with those once. They even outright blew up one of the enemy mechs (temporarily, due to teleportation-related shenanigans, but still).

mecha steamrolling non-mecha is the worst because you lose out on the possibility of cool asymmetrical battle scenes
