Hopefully they're going to move it somewhere else, possibly upgrade it to hold its shield and beam saber or beam rifle. The hands are in the right position to do it, it's just that (I heard) they don't do it because of the wind.

The fact that they're closing Gundam Front suggests that they're going to move it somewhere else before the 2020 Olympics, since it is a big tourist draw.

Not bad, though at the Gundam cafe outside the 1/1 Gundam I only got snacks and a sandwich due to there being an entire food court less than 20 metres away from it. From the Akiba one I got actual meals.

Garlic bread and chicken piece from Akiba. Wasn't bad but it was also very forgettable. Ate it while waiting for the curry.

The most fun I had at the Gundam Cafe in Akihabara was watching a large amount of Japanese nerds walking into the AKB48 cafe next door. I pity those men and their lack of love for Gundam.

They didn't while I was there but a quick google shows that they did a couple of years ago.
The food tasted better than it looked but it was pretty average cafe food. Out of the 3 themed cafes I went to on that trip (2 /m/ and 1 /a/) it had the worst food and the second best atmosphere.
