Remember the level of shitposting when this show and Greco aired at the same time?
>>14972159
Yeah, A/Z was the show people only watched because it was "popular" so that they could bitch and whine about it.
Don't even talk to me about shitposting.
Gundam in general > A/Z > G-reco > Valrave
>>14972225
This.
Gundam shitposting is eternal. My god, people here are really determined to shape the general view, with repeated opinions like 'Gundam franchise as a whole is mediocre', 'Gundam only has 2 or 3 good series out of 40', etc. It's like they don't even realize that mecha franchise in general are terrible in the first place, from an elitist point of view.
It wouldn't attract so much shitposting if Aniplex didn't overhype it themselves.
>>14972166
Guilty as charged. Fuck it was a bad show.
>>14972937
And everyone and their mothers getting hyped on Urobuchi's name only.
>>14972398
>It's like they don't even realize that mecha franchise in general are terrible in the first place, from an elitist point of view.
They don't because they put shows they like on a pedestal and compare everything they watch to their favorites.
Then they nitpick at everything they don't like in even though a lot of the flaws show up in most mecha shows.
Can't wait for R3

I don't have to remember, because its never really stopped. You still can't have a civil discussion about Greco here, and AZ has only dropped off in mentions because people lost the excuse to tell people to go back to it since its no longer airing.
/m/ isn't the kind of board to let a good shitpost die. Not when you can make 17 "What did he mean by this?" Gundam threads a week.
>>14975851
>You still can't have a civil discussion about Greco here
First day here?
>>14976079
Not exactly proving him wrong there, anon.
>>14976092
Actually I am because there's plenty of civil G-Reco discussion, there's even a thread up now with little trolling. So I guess it is his first day here if he still believe you can't discuss G-Reco here.
>>14976107
> little trolling
> shitposting within the first 5 posts.
I guess that is an improvement for greco threads, yes. Consider me corrected.
>>14976130
>I didn't read the thread
You can stop now.
>>14976130
So you didn't even bother to read the thread.
Not to mention your stance makes no sense since G-Reco had a stead stream of generals while it was airing with discussion. So you never had a point to begin with.
fuck this show
In-a-hoe had the best name tho
>>14972159
this shit deserves all the shitposts :DDD
>>14972159
Goddamn I miss that show. The first season especially. Second season wasn't as good (because Gen Urubotchi wasn't involved) but man... That first season was fucking fantastic.

The real problem was how they constantly shit on Slaine, and how Inaho had plot armor out the wazoo. Literally none of the good guys died in the end! Even the dudes who were clearly marked to die like the alcoholic, the big sister and so on.
I think it had less fatalities than your typical Gundam finale. The odds were so stacked in Inaho's favor they were stupid. Remember when Slaine could see the future? Remember how he immediately got hit at the start of the final battle, so he couldn't use his power?
It's a kind of scriptwriting cowardice. (But I did like that the Princess married someone else. That was ballsy.)
>>14981974
>Literally none of the good guys died in the end!
They killed off plenty of nameless grunts, but no none of the crew died.
I think more than deciding not to kill one of the named characters on the earth side is that they really failed to finish any of their development.
>>14981986
I think another thing I didn't like was how Inaho could solo things with little difficulty. The whole point was that he had to rely on ingenuity against the enemy suits, which were a lot more powerful.
But no, it turns out that he was so overpowered, he didn't need anyone's help. He just needed bad science and a wikipedia article. (Like when he defeated the freezing dude by repeatedly flying through grenade launcher explosions.)
>>14981990
There was always a fair bit of bad science and standing still while they were killed.
It was still a problem that they made Inaho do everything, which might have been working towards a final confrontation between Inaho and Slaine as equals.
His eye did more for him than Tharsis for Slaine.
If you were looking for ingenuity in the second season Slaine would have been the one doing it.
>>14981990
>>14982019
Sinking the pillbug into the river to find the holes in his armor was a pretty good idea.
Too bad the rest of the show can't come up with ideas just as good.
>>14982026
Artillery on Lasers was ok. It seems like it should have been done before.
Dropping Plasma Katana into the ocean was ok, but it was a shit mech anyways.
Pillbug kind of had to sit still on the bridge for the sinking to work, don't know why no one tried mines.
I liked shooting around the planet and ambushing the munitions shipment.
Confusing drones in an enclosed space was ok.
>>14981553
Butcherfags are the best representation of The Emperor's New Clothes of fandom.
>>14981974
>ballsy
Marrying her off to a literal who showed up at the last minute is ballsy? Hilariously enough nobody really gave a shit about her anyways.
>>14982053
All those were terrible.
>>14982078
How can anyone possibly forget "Everyone lost: the animation"?
>>14981974
No the princess marrying the literally who wasn't ballsy at all, just bad writing. If they were really ballsy they would have killed Inaho and/or Asshime, but they didn't because they were fucking cowards. The ending was a cop-out.
>>14982078
>Butcherfags
Literally "muh first despair" is the only reason people like him.
>>14984595
Frankly, after NO ONE DIED in the shootout at the end of S1, I'd lost all hope for the show.
They really should've killed off everyone except Slaine, then have S2 be entirely about Slaine. I mean, it's not like Slaine is a good character, but if everyone was dead the show would at least have so sustained tension.
With Inaho and the Princess, it was all tremendously predictable. The Count surviving made so little impact, he came back just to die two episodes later.
>>14984691
The problem with Inaho and Asshime is that they're boring characters. Inaho as a character is worthless and Asshime is just better off dead.
>>14981974
Personally I couldn't stand Inaho at all. Not because of his bullshit plans (that got worse and worse for every fight), but because his character wasn't as much a character as it was a vehicle for the plot. Fucker didn't even have an emotionless personality or anything, because when the plot needed him to he started doing emotional things.
They episode that made me say "FUCK THIS SHIT" was the one where he's watching the space battle all the way from earth with his stupid robot eye.
>>14985678
Well she was brain dead all she did is parrot what Inaho or Slaine said.
