Ok what if like, there was a mahou shoujo series where the girls turned into robots. I mean like giant ass Nobel/Fei Yen-esque robots. Maybe with Yuusha style faces.
But there's a twist:The first time they transform it turns out they get stuck that way indefinitely.Basically I want genderswapped J Decker for emotionally stunted adults such as myself.I don't know why I made this thread.

Eh, it's a good idea. It's also my fetish.

Seconding.
Inserting an extra fetish here, but also for extra angst, why not make the girls' robot forms more monstrous? Like, instead of just going full Nobel, they go full Walter Gundam, receiving only vaguely humanoid forms. They become mechanical beasts, using their ungainly yet womanly forms to protect the innocent, but also being pretty much completely unrecognizable as the humans they once were.

pretty good concept

sounds like a porn comic
but I mean that in a good way
>>14957683
You had me till the twist
Pretty sure there's an episode of Smile Precure like that. Obari even animated a scene in it.
It's just like "I want my Mecha protagonist to be a Badass soldier veteran shooter person who isn't a whiny understanding teenager and he kills people with no remorse and isn't afraid of anything"
So something that sounds good at the first glance but is pretty bad if you actually think about it.

I think it'd make for a good short but probably not a full series.

>giant ass Nobel/Fei Yen-esque robots
wait, does this mean
large-scale girly-looking robots
or
girly-looking robots with big butts
this is important
having them be stuck is a no go
but the transformation is a good concept so i don't know why it hasn't been done before not even as a parody work. maybe because it would be hard making a strong, feminine super version of those cute bots
also you're right in that it would only appeal to emotionally stunted adults even when it's not edgy and they're stuck in their robot forms. girls wouldn't watch a mecha show i think and boys don't like girls
>>14959550
It might be good for an OVA; have them try and find a way to turn back.
>>14959606
I'm not interested in that at all in [current year] because it wouldn't look super good
And also the OP concept does not interest me. I want transforming girls into robots like Dagwon if it was not shit
>>14959811
Man, you're still salty about Dagwon.

It's not that it's a bad concept per se, it's just you'd have to be pretty on the ball to pull it off, and let the studio let you do it, and it's really unlikely for both to happen. There's other ways to have conflict beyond just "waaagh I don't want to fight!" or "waaaaagh! I regret killing this one person!", but you need both a competent writer and the freedom to write.
