Her VA role and songs in Dancouga were part of her prize for winning a popular idol contest. However, it was a terrible miscast, her performance was amateurish and AIC kinda-sorta forgotten to develop her character. What's even worse is that she couldn't reprise her role in the sequel movie when AIC changed the music sponsor.

She was embarrassed by all that and never touched anime VA or singing again, until years later in Dancouga Nova when the production team invited her to make a cameo.

She keeps saying typecast like a retard but typecast isnt the word she's looking for. Since she's only voiced Minmay It sucks that she couldn't break away from that role and have a greater musical career though. It always does when you live in the shadow of your past accomplishments, especially when that "accomplishment" was just supposed to be a stepping stone to what you really wanted.

Didn't know about all this, this is pretty screwed up. I wish I could comfort her in some way but I'm not even in the states. I honestly think she should just give up music, at least I mean from a professional level/living from it or making lives etc, and try out something else, it's never too late in life and you're never too old.
