The execution of any of the ideas found in LOGH was total garbage.
I don't know how anyone can watch this and think this was a great representation of history or even politics in general.
The only thing that LOGH had going is its scope and ambitions, which it fucked up of course.

Elaborate your point first.
It's good in terms of characterization, plot, and presenting the ideology of the characters (Yang in particular) *sniff*.
Reinhard is boring character defined by 2/3 traits for most of the show, until he's confronted with the sins of the pastfucks Hilde, and proposes
Most of his supporting cast trumps him.
On the other hand the FPA crew are well written.

FPA characters > Imperial characters

Let's have a discussion above a high school English level
>>14938816
Nice mouth, does it speak with dialogue?
>>14938956
In terms of likability and general atmosphere, yeah Yang Fleet all the way.

>It's good in terms of characterization
The heroes on both sides only look good when you compare them to the dumb fucks that is literally everyone else.
This is shitty characterisation.
>>14939387
But Yang is compared directly to Reinhardt, Kircheis and Julian Minci though.
At least he's trying new bait, too bad its still shit
>>14939387
>when you compare them to the dumb fucks that is literally everyone else
This is shitty comprehension.
I've seen you, specifically, post this EXACT critique, down to the wording, for years now.
Give it up, senpai. You're not going to get people to stop praising LoGH.
>>14939440
Because it's true. LOGH has shitty characterisation.
>>14941365
>Literally the same post as the other thread
Stop this shit
>>14941411
You have no argument

So that's one of the five women in all the universe of LoGH?
Merkatz = Space Charles Bronson with the voice of Inspector Zenigata (Goro Naya). I love shit like that.
One of my problems with the series is that it tries very hard to present itself as a kind of historical documentary. However, when the narrator makes snide remarks like "so-and-so would've been great if he were in a different era", it really takes away from that. It was entertaining to watch, but trying to portray itself as an educational documentary was definitely a miss.
LoGH is phenomenal, man. Sure there are some bits of filler and fluff in the show, but all around it does a great job of building a large, varied cast of characters and having the plot grow naturally.

I know what you mean, but I don't see it as a problem. I've been listening to the History of Rome podcast recently and it does the same thing, except probably more often, seeing as it's entirely narrated.
>>14939387
Actually if you think of it, those characters are a footnote. Like imagine if there's an Anime about the Rise of Trump, All those Jeb, Rubio, Cruz and others during his Republican election will be potrayed as dumbfucks because they're not important to the big picture of the story

That's why it's so good.
Reuenthal did nothing wrong.
>>14954520
I love Reuenthal. At a time where men are fighting for ideals, Reuenthal fights for himself. He is very loyal to Reinhard, but at the same time has his own desires. At the end of the day, it's not even his desire for battle and glory that starts his rebellion, it's his pride that forces himThat being said, his actions aren't really justified.

Best love story.
Oberstein is a real human being and a real hero
