Just go through the OST for each series you're including, and pick out a few songs from each. I sold the Bastole and Heavygun for their parts since I wasn't going to use either unit. You get a decent refund for the money spent along with extra parts.

The author clearly has certain tastes, given all three games feature those kind of mountains. Also yuri, which makes Nova using Kannozuki no Miko fitting, presumably.

Compared to Zeta, Crossbone, Mazinger Zero and banresto originals which sees to have quite good animation

I just hate it when you can so obviously see the different skills in animation which all started with Z3, all the time bevore most of the units had about the same level of animation quality in my opinion (minus that one knight of round unit in z2.2 i guess)

Even if your team was made up of the strongest units in the game, you'll still have a challenge when you face off against certain bosses.

There's also the stupid jump in difficulty that takes place on the game's final stage.

Alpha Gaiden has my favorite story in the English translated SRW, but it's got some really terrible stages that I never want to replay due to batshit difficulty.

BX has higher damage values in general. Even some of the scrubbiest units in BX hit like the AGE grunts have 4k base power finishers. Compared to UX where 4k was for the lower end reals but not gruns.

And in UX, Billbine was one of your strongest units at the time when you got it. 4800 base power ties with Demonbane (who doesn't get a better finisher until Shadow Over Innsmouth) and quite a few other strong units like SKL. Orphes, Mark Sein, Linebarrel, Dancouga and the combined Tobikage units are stronger for that part but Shou's combo with Marvel beats all of them anyway (even if its UX where combos are generally inferior to just hitting the target twice with your finisher)

This is ignoring Holy Warrior, Bilbine's +melee bonus and the bonus damage that Shou gets from leveling Aura Power. He does fall off as the game goes along but Shou is definitely one of the best characters in early-mid UX.

With regards to combos, them being very strong is kind of necessary since otherwise we have the problem in UX where they were very bad since they were pretty costly and the damage output that you got from them wasn't very good. Granted BX went the opposite way and made them pretty darn strong but they prevent the second unit from attacking.

Mike's +Will bonus would have been significantly more broken if enemy density in BX was a problem (like say MX or A Portable) but it generally isn't so its more of a convenience than something that turns difficulty on its head.

It honestly doesn't really matter as long as you've got at least two to three heavy hitters on your side, like Getter or Mazinger.

You'll also want some solid support attackers, like Raideen and Akira.

The 90s Real Robots that show up in the game are actually pretty good. Gundam X, Turn A, and Macross Plus's units are really strong.

You've also got Xabungle and Walker Gallier for total ass kicking fun times with real robots.

The UC Gundam units aren't bad, they're pretty good units that end up looking bad in comparison to everyone else. You can still make good use of them.

Really, Alpha Gaiden is about a solid mix of everything.

Everything except the Original Banpresto units, who are honestly not that great or fun to use in this game.

But that wasn't your argument. Your argument was that it was comparable to Star GaoGaiGar, which gets a 7300 finisher at stage, what, 15? And if you want to go ahead and factor in partner bonuses, Bilbine and Star GaoGaiGar both have the +100 melee at base. Even with Holy Warrior's 1.1 damage bonus, Bilbine is still weaker than, not only SGGG, but also Big Volfogg, Choryujin, and Gekiryujin.
If you want to calculate in Aura Power, which only maxes at +500 at level 61, it would still lose out to the other GGG units.
The funny thing is? Bilbine is also in BX. The only things that have changed is that they gave it a new combo, and buffed the old ones by giving them Ss in all terrains and increasing their attack power by 2000.
And you get Bilbine three stages earlier in UX.

BX doesn't have Enemy Density OR Disc-P. BX has Enemy Density AND Disc-P. The mere application of disgustingly simple, layman logic already gives you the answer that this situation is, by its very existence. Let's assume that a pilot gets +7 Will per phase (Rough average, rounding down, of the max Will the average can accumulate if they fulfill each stipulation, baring an ally being shot down). By the second turn, that's already +14 on that pilot in addition to the two Disc-P's, which amounts to a +20. That alone is a +34 by the rough start of the second turn. If you didn't combine them, you'd only get +28 at the END of the second turn.

Hey, checking in again. Sorry I havent been on. [spoilers]dealing with personal things after the election[/spoilers]
SRW L won the straw poll, so thats the one Im going to translate. I've been looking over it and prepping, just wanted to ask some questions about how people want it to be doled out.
its about 650k characters in all, though with formatting and such the actual number of characters to translate is lower. I'm not sure how many characters my pace will settle into, though Im expecting about 10k a week to begin with, and the number to rise as I get better with my translating; this is my first project.
Do you guys want the whole stages released at each time, or a weekly update with what Ive got done that week? The stage character counts vary; the first prologue stage, for example, is 25k characters, while some middle stages are 7k. I can throw them on pastebin or google docs, depending on which is easier to use.

I feel that most Reals are pretty poor compared to Supers in Alpha Gaiden - still, I can't claim that as a direct rule because it's not quite a matter of Dodge vs HP Tanking (in fact, Dodge actually wins as a defensive measure up until the point where enemies have stupid high Accuracy)

Though it doesn't help that these were the early days where Reals didn't really have "finishers" because they were balanced around having Double Move back in Alpha 1 but didn't really receive compensation for its removal.

I think one of the huge power level indicators in Alpha Gaiden is how many Sub-pilots you have though... which I don't strictly see as a Supers thing? But it just kinda happens that way so unless you have stupid good stats like Mazinkaiser.

I think Walker Gallier ended up being sort of half and half in this regards in that the pilot and mechs have very good numbers and it's a 2-seater.

V2, Double X, Walker Gallier and Turn A can all be strong reals, though Double X really wants the G-Bits secret to give it a finisher that isn't only once every few turns. Most of the others are kind of weak. Some people swear by Zeta because of its endgame buffs, but Zeta is kind of mediocre until that buff and @G uses a system where pilot stats grow the more they're used. This means you have to use Zeta even though it kind of sucks in order for it to actually be useful late game. The other problem reals have is that lategame enemies are stupidly accurate, making it very hard to avoid burning through SP on Focus.

Most of the powerhouse units are supers. Mazinger, Getter and the Choudenjis are all excellent. Some people swear by Dancouga, though I always have issues with its EN consumption. Great Mazinger's a good early upgrading choice because Tetsuya's with you from the start of the future segment and he stays useful for the whole game.

The Banpresto Originals, unfortunately, all suck except for Thrudgelmir. Thrudgelmir can potentially solo Granzon if upgraded.

Finally sat down and watched Cross Ange over the last few days. While I wouldn't call it 'good', it was more watchable than I was led to believe after the first few garbage eps. Hell, I'd even say I had more fun with it than Fukuda's other big trainwreck (SEED/Destiny) simply by virtue of it letting itself be silly once in a while.

I can't say I'm hyped for it in V now, but it's feeling less like a 'wasted slot' now. Also if the premium sound version is any indication, the two songs I want to show up (the second OP and Ange/Salako's song(s)) are in.

Also killing Embryo repeatedly should be fun.
