I absolutely loved Shin, too, but I could write a twenty page essay on what's wrong with it.

But to sum it up: 1) terrible pacing 2) extremely muddled focus

There are more specific things like how the show didn't know how to handle the Kurogane characters and how there were way to many flashbacks/flash fowards, but they all stemmed from those two basic points.

I have no clue why the show has garnered the amount of hate it has, but the show definitely has it's share of problems.
