You know, I go into these expecting the strangest of combinations, but then I get some that even blow my mind apart. Fourze, Barcode Fighter and to an extent, Evangelion show some level of high school life where people are trying to live normal lives, but beyond that things are pretty goddamn bleak. We have deep space wars with Strain and Heroic Age, conflicts raging on Venus between two colonies, crime at an all time high to the point where standard police need tanks to enforce the law, humanity reaching out into space to find hospitable lands after Earth has been ravaged and-oh, I forgot that didn't I? Yeah, not only are we for the most part post-apoc, the sea is somehow both pitch black and blood red. Try making sense of that. And this is on top of Zeon trying to form it's own independence in colonies, which, considering the state Earth is in right now, is kind of a good idea. That last era was horrible in games where you couldn't sink points into accuracy because come endgame, everyone started needing Strike to deal with RR mooks unless you had overkill accuracy.

I'd be disagreeing.
A great majority of the units in those games couldn't even GET to the 140 accuracy value @G up to OGG used even at 10 upgrades to mobility.
Or it could be even worse and be like pre-FF where not only would they be lucky to break the 70 mark on accuracy, but they'd be capped to 255 for both accuracy and evasion anyways.
Not to mention that the only games that used mobility to calculate accuracy that also had a way of boosting weapon hitrate were Alpha 1(via parts) and MX(both by parts and straight up upgrading weapon accuracy), at least the 140 accuracy formula had a wide array of parts that boost weapon accuracy, so while a few units (mainly the higher end reals) would not have an accuracy that matched the one they'd have at max upgrades in say, Alpha (MX also is pretty bad at this shit since it uses percentage based upgrades and tends to have a very low cap on them, so supers and ships suffer a whole lot again), supers and ships can easily trump that AT BASE and then go even higher.

I always found it easier to fix accuracy problems in the older era by dumping the higher mobility parts on the units with worse base mobility.

In the pre Z1 era had accuracy parts and so, but depending on the game, accuracy parts were rather rare which hurt characters with naturally bad accuracy.

World's obviously pretty screwed up, with most of the threats being out of space origins as aliens. I've only really done one MC that I've been refining, who lost pretty much everything important to her at a young age through a mysterious 3rd party, and had the controls of the main mech imprinted in her brain, who then spent about 10 years making a living off of that knowledge in the wastes. With only the companionship of an onboard AI who may or may not occupy a small portion of her brain, most of her jobs involving bounty hunting, except for a new job with good pay involving a hired gun job with a certain Exodus...

The main mech I went for a wolf motif, with the main themes of inspiration being Blade Wolf from MGR, Gregar Megaman from BN6 and ELS Quanta. I'd put it at a 30m mech, so large but not obscenely so. Armed with plasma cannons in the palms, heated tips on it's claw-like hands, a mega particle cannon that opens from the mouth, and a few other weapons, the focus is speed mixed with brute force. Eventually I planned for an upgrade into a Fenrir-esque motif, with many of the weapons changing to cold based weaponry.

I've already planned out like 2 other games with this MC and I'm currently working on the 3rd's final cast list. It's a fun time waster.
