What's /m/'s fav 70s robot that isn't DynamicPro or Gundam?
For me currently the only other one I've seen is Voltes V but I'd like to watch Daitarn 3 and Zambot 3 soon.
Honestly, I think the only mecha series I've seen from the 70's was Gundam, and that's barely 70's, to begin with.

You should fix this mistake by watching Harlock
>>14912362
I think I actually have that on DVD, but I dunno if it's the 70's series, or something newer.
Once I get some spare cash, I'll finally buy those Discotek DVDs

That's dynamic pro tho

You posted it! Voltes V is a close second.
I have yet to finish watching Daitarn 3, however, so this could change. I also liked what I saw of Danguard Ace, but that was never fully subbed.
I've read the original Mazinger Z and Getter Robo manga, but I'm not quite sure if that counts.
I've watched Gundam '79, but then again, who hasn't?
I once started watching Brave Raideen, but I didn't go any further than episode 2 because it hasn't been fully subbed.
I might watch Zambot-3 and Daitarn someday.
Daitarn. The fucking best.

70s series and Arcadia are 10/10. Didn't like Sagas story at all. Real shame cuz the premise was so promising

Dynamic Gunpro
I would love to see a high budget Zambot remake, still one of my favorite designs.

Just so you know, the reason it hasn't been fully subbed is because the original group only cared about the first plot arc.
That is to say, if you watched what has been subbed you'd still get the whole (first) storyline.

Well not when Toei stole the idea and didn't pay them for it for decades. It's Dynamic Pro now.

At any rate, /m/ Subs did get to the start of the second one.

ONE TWO THREE
DAITARN THREEEEEE!
Since Daltanious was recently subbed, I will say that I've been taking a shine to it lately. It's not Daitarn or Zambot, but I definitely like it more than everything else Nagahama did.

About that

>OP and others list a bunch of non-Gundam Tomino anime
Seems pretty fucking stupid t b h

Daitarn 3 as well. What I always wanted to see was Sunrise making a reboot.
Dymanic robot would be Jeeg though.

any news or updates from J9 4th series?
GINGUISer

Jinraiger? Last new information I heard they supposedly hired Pierrot to do the animation.
>>14915097
They can't help it, the amount of properly subbed 70s mecha shows can be counted on one or two hands.
>>14915163
J9 is 80s though (but I don't blame you, since it might as well have been animated in that era).

Zambot 3 is a damn near perfect super robot show. I'm not going to change my opinion on that just because Tomino directed it.

Trust me, whenever Luurah finishes Dai Apolon, I'm gonna be all over that shit. I can't wait for to finally watch a giant robot show based on American football
>>14915693
I'm not saying anything about the quality of the shows themselves. They're all pretty high tier imo, but it's just sad to see how limited our access is.
I'd say Ideon but I keep on forgetting that was early 80s
