Was the Tallgeese II weaker than the original or was Treize just a better pilot than Zechs?
>>14905097
Considering it seems it was Treize's plan to die, it's hard to tell.
>>14905097
What makes you think it was weaker?
Even though Treize is a suicidal maniac, I think it's still safe to say that the Altron is the superior close-combat suit of the two anyway. It doesn't make the Tallgeese II inferior to the original though.
>>14905097
AFAIK it's stronger than the original. A little. All the alterations are purely cosmetic, except for the upgraded dobergun that can fire beams.

>What makes you think it was weaker?
Not OP, but I think it's strange that Treize can pilot it easily without coughing blood.
I mean, they had a really hard time taming the wild horse but then this guy who rarely (if ever, I forgot) piloted a mobile suit had no problem at all. So maybe they put limiter on it.

>except for the upgraded dobergun that can fire beams.
I thought that's confirmed as animation error
If G Unit is to believed then yes, Treize>Milliardo

>implying the man that built a gundam in his basement would have a problem with the tallgeese

We're talking about some one dimensional villain who showed up at the last minutein the worse piece of Gundam media ever createdand jobbed hard. His word means nothing.

Maybe Treize is really just that badass. Plus, with how inconsistent Wing was, there's no reason to think they weren't equal or that Tallgeese II wasn't an upgrade. Remember, that whole "putting a massive strain on the pilot" thing was only actually a thing for a single episode (plus if I remember right, it was handwaved away as the pilot needing to be so fucking badass that their mental fortitude is all that you need to control it).
Official info for the Tallgeese I and Tallgeese II give them identical specs, the differences are so few that in the official Gundam Wing MS Encyclopedia, the Tallgeese II is a minor footnote in the article for the Tallgeese I and doesn't get its own page. Treize just wasn't retarded enough to push the throttle all the time.

Tallgeese II doesn't have an upgraded dobergun, Tallgeese I occasionally fired beams from time to time as well. It's claimed that the databook I am posting a scan from says the Tallgeese I has a beam firing dobergun, but I can't read Japanese so I can't say for certain.

They probably just forgot about that whole detail by the end of the series.
1. Tallgeese II was built from spare Tallgeese parts
2. It's vernier engines a clearly smaller than original Tallgeese
3. We're never told how long Treize trained in it before officially using it in battle

No they're not.

They probably just stopped accelerating ridiculously hard all the time.
Now.. even now I still want to see a rematch between Altron and Tallgeese II. I want to see a proper battle. Not just Tallgeese II just rushing head long into Altron's beam trident.
tallgeese II soon in GOL

I like how EXVSFB handles Tallgeese 2.
The dober gun's regular fire is a fairly fat beam burst.
The charge shot fires a physical shell.

Nice, thanks.
>>14910271
That picture isn't in the chapter.
I know models doesn't usually match the works, but a few Tallgeese models come with the seperate heads for all three units and they all share the same body. I've never seen a side-by-side of any of the units sold as single version of the three.

Treize flew straight up to Zechs while he was cowering behind his giant death cannon and called him a fag. That alone puts him at the top of the pilot list.
