In the novel she's forced by her father to pilot the Shamblo with her brothers and father and when she cant stand doing it anymore her father shots her for insubordination. She helps Banagher defeat the Shamblo by telling him it's weak spot in her dying breath.

Anon never actually said he was spoiled because of his background, only that he got where he is in life due to his family despite thinking otherwise. Which isn't the same. And a good scene to illustrate that is when he meets Bright. During that scene he asks Bright not to treat him special because of his family, with Bright dismissing the idea immediately and telling him he doesn't care about that. Something that visibly upsets Riddhe. Riddhe wants to think of himself as a self made man, apart from his family and their legacy and doing his own thing (piloting), but the reality is that despite himself he's used to, and actually kind of wants that special treatment, so when he doesn't get it, he gets annoyed. And when he loses Mineva to Banagher despite not understanding why she'd choose Banagher over him he loses it because he thinks between his family, his riches and his plan to help her he should be the obvious choice and he can't accept that loss.

A loss that is tied to his other great concern, his desire to stop Zeon from ever emerging again. And to stop his family and legacy from being threatened. Despite his earlier idealism, when he finds out what's in the box he can't bring himself to make the choice to help Mineva how she wants to be helped, but thinks she should stick to his plan, which protects the status quo along with his own family.
