ESCAFLOWNE thread
I've been rewatching the series.
> come episode 19
> that episode where they fire up theFate Alteration engine
> that episode where aFate Alteration engineis used tosway a young girl's heart
> that episode where the future of a country depend on on a plan beyond logic
> that episode
Anime should do stuff like that more often.
The dramatic tones, the world reaching machination, the absolute seriousness of the matter.
Wish Escaflowne had been made as planned with more episode, it would have meant there was a chance for it to get crazier.
I like Escaflowne, but at the same time i think its way too cluttered. Individually everything stands well on its own. The themes, characters, action, animation and especially the music.
My problem with it though is it needs developing.

Can you do some webm of the best scenes?

Sorry I don't know how, and I think you would need someone skilled at keeping a good quality
But I can post what I already have.
I don't think I have seen another Mech as finely designed and animated than Escaflowne.
I'll keep looking because it sound improbable
Macross definitely count, they cheat sometime but less
Patlabor probably count. It have the amount of details and some design are quite complex.
Ghost in the Shell can have lot of details, but that's Shirow so you could probably build the stuff.
And this is the last webm I have, the rest are gif
Next fantasy mecha when?

Pretty much. Plus by the final few episodes you really get the feeling of "this was supposed to be a longer show wasn't it"
