I thought there was a Daikessen translation effort that just kinda petered out and there's been no news in a long time. As for darkness, I thought the first volume was translated but I'm probably wrong on that front since I avoid it like the plague after I read the synopsis. If there's anything in the franchise that can be debated that should be whole heatedly discarded it's dash/darkness.

Are these compilations/tie-ins any good or worth reading? And did Ishikawa have any input? I know there was that compilation manga that came after his death but I heard it was shit and what scans I saw looked awful art wise.

Welp this thread has proven a lot of what I thought was true about several pieces of media in the franchise is wrong. That's fine with me, now I won't spread any more misinformation. How are the quality of those subs and how far did they go? I'd like to give Go a chance just to see how it is, though it seems very obvious it is very different from the manga.
