What is your favorite "MoTW" sentai episode?
I mean, no finale episodes or something like that, just simple "standalone" episodes.
Mine is episode 46: Presenting! The Vicious Squadron, from Zyuranger. Such a beautiful and comfy ending.

Episode 16 of Megaranger. The MOTW infects people with a poison that will kill them within 24 hours, the drama that builds from that and from the team seeing children and people with the marks is great. It's also the episode that made me love the Mega cast. They're fantastic.

I liked Usada Lettuce's kidnapping episode, Gorisaki getting the guts to tell Ryuji how he feels, the birthay/celebration of the buddyroids. Most episodes centered around the Volt scientists in Liveman, Sharkie Chan and Bat Lee eps in Gekiranger, Kou's debut in Dairanger, and Zalam's official joining of the ToQgers.

Thats a great episode (and the exact same one I was going to propose.) It was actually the first writing credit of Yasuko Kobayashi. Other stand-outs? The Dora-Sphinx episode of Zyuranger. The Ramen monster episode in Jetman. The one where Signalman first gets beaten in Carranger. The one in Kyoryuger where Shoji gets told by his father to work harder than Daigo if he wants to keep up. And as a Rider example, the magician episode in W.

Here's a thought: multiple robots are rarely used because they are too much work, right? So it's just easier to have a them combine into a big one and not show up by themselves again, no? But, at the same time, that's really boring, because it makes them pointless. The typical progression of robots is based on one being stronger than the last one, so, outside of plot contrivances, there would be no reason to not always use the strongest robot or ocmbination. However, if one were to introduce capabilities one robot has and the other doesn't, think for example of the three forms of Getter Robo, then that makes the battle strategies more nuanced and interesting. I guess the armament type stuff sort of is a reaction to these issues.

Time Robo in Timeranger was neat because it had a vehicle form, a long-range form, and the standard sword & board form and it frequently changed it up in battles. Time Shadow also didn't overshadow it as much until they got the combination, plus there's the fact that it needs to be sent from the future and they don't have that much direct control over it in the beginning

I think they should take a cue from rider(sentai mechs are a rider equivalent toy wise) and just have the main robot be one piece(like Galaxy mega) since there´s not much of a point to have 5 pieces you´re never gonna use separated, and then add aditional toys that serve as weapons. That way, the main robot would look better and, toy-wise, they would sell pretty much the same amount (since the main robot comes with all its parts, unless you count things like Go-Busters). That´d be cool.

Yeah they're rough but doable.

Had to change my strategy compared to normal levels:

- 4 teams (though this is normal for me).
- No 6ths (Geki Violet and Chopper are okay because they are so strong)
- Focus on filling the gauge by getting main members out for bonus asap, instead of letting them stay out and attack
- Lock on to units that have the special gauge, once they are gone level can generally be played like normal (leaving strongest team out and having them attack)
- Spam Super Skills. it's not worth it to wait for team attack (I beat it originally with only 2 in my deck, I bettered my time by having 4)
- If you do fill up team attack because you couldn't play super skill or it was going to go to waste, I actually prefer the default ones that aren't special because of memory crystal. Since if you are locked on to the unit with super skill all of the hits will go to them which can be huge damage (geki ranger doing 10-15k+)

The real hard part is shaving down the time for that 40 reward. I'm at around 41 minutes and haven't been able to find another minute to save.

I kinda miss it where gattai sequences show where the cockpit is

And yes, Jan is adorable little ball of smiles and murder. Also has significant character development and evolution throughout which is constant throughout the entire show, which is somewhat unusual for sentai. Gekiranger is really good for solid character development, especially with the core 3 and Leo+Mele.

I will admit Zyuohger is quite overrated. Just started sentai this year and of all the seasons I've seen it really isn't better than them. However the suits are eye candy, especially the color choices. RBYG + W/B is great.

The villains are a serious letdown, and the character progression of the 6th is way too static to actually be engaging, but they're hitting the stereotypes well. The biggest problem with the series is that it feels like it could have done even more, but restrained itself to maintaining a status quo.

I would kill for another Sentai with a human villain, but I think it'll happen next year. It's hard to compete with Gokai, GoBus and ToQger's quality in that regard.
