Sometimes even worse. The thing is, you have two different characters/franchises with fans, so you can't prioritize one over the other. You also can't make anything that has long lasting impact since it usually cant be canon(and THAT case you're thinking about hasnt been mentioned much after it happened) and the comic book format is limited as of itself.
