Darkrai came out for the arcade version like 3 months ago but we still got no news on him coming to WiiU, it's possible they are waiting for the NX to port it with the added characters as exclusive.

I'd prefer that they released them as DLC on the Wii U alongside them being on disc for NX with crossplay between the two being possible if anything. It's worked well for ArcSys games. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
