Cuz some Italian in a basement with a Casio is comparable to a full orchestrated soundtrack.
>>14827826
Apparently so.
As much as people like to hate on Robotech, the intro song for the show isn't half bad. And if they were able to do it on a 1980s Casio, it's even more impressive.
>>14827846
I dunno what he used but it always annoyed the shit out of me when American adaptations of Japanese shows would replace more or less fully orchestrated soundtracks with some band-in-box guy, maybe with some electrical guitar thrown in, like with Power Rangers.

I like Queen, I don't like people ripping off Queen.
You must like Vanilla Ice.
>>14827962
It's the same fucking song bruv
>>14828016
Considering that Vanilla Ice's biggest hit was a song that sounded like it had the same riff used by Queen, that's not really an insult.
You're sounding like the type of person that strictly believes that only one band is allowed to sound a certain way and that imitators cannot sound good despite sounding very similar. It's a ludicrous theory especially considering that there are several popular TV shows based on precisely same premise of people singing popular songs of other people.
The Big O theme was an homage to the Queen style of ballads It's very self-evident if you've ever heard either song in their entirety.
I haven't even watched the show yet, but Xabungle's first OP 1 gets me pumped big time.

>>14828753
you have good taste, especially regarding Cybernetics Guardian
>>14827853
It's not that farfetched when you realize that the shows were adapted to appeal to a culturally different demographic that does not speak the native language of the place where the production comes from. It's why some shows were heavily edited to get rid of mannerisms that are not self-evident in Western culture and hard to pronounce names are simplified to Western sounding ones. Without such a blatant cultural divide, the target audience will relate better to the show. And this is to say nothing about the confusion of having characters start singing songs in some strange language that the audience doesn't understand with a voice that's obviously not the character's normal speaking voice.
The MMPR OP song was awesome, though. I don't know why you think it's bad.

The one thing I don't like about 0083's second OP is that it implies that GP03 gets to ever see any amount of action outside of the Orchis.
>>14827809
The superior 0083 opening.
>>14827863
The Big O's soundtrack was a goddamn work of art, no doubt. However, it's not just the battle themes that rule; the show's ambient and "softer" pieces are really good (Before Dawn and Tears being great examples).

I watched Zeta with the Alt-OP and I prefer it as well. It just fits the space opera tone of the show better than an '80s J-pop song ever could (however catchy it may be). When I heard the original OP song, I thought it was somebody's AMV.
