No word on the core fighter Amuro used, so it was probably taken to a bone yard and scrapped.

Actually it apparently just floated off.
Eventually some fellows used its learning computer data to create a sort of "clone" of Amuro in Crossbone Gundam or so.

However, everyone else is right; the rest of the Gundam was slagged and scrapped.
