At any rate the only real purpose GG serves is being stylish. The 5 button interface is still kinda jank and unreasonably contrarian (why isn't Dust a 2 button input instead of a dedicated button?).

BB though has problems in often being "first to land two combo strings wins" on top of being so rife with character level systems that it doesn't seem well suited for casual loafing about play because once you get past Rags and Jin the cast goes full retard in gimmicks.

I mean shit BB might as well be Smash with a Hype Dog stage.

Bullshit opinion, though I must say that Xrd as a whole is a huge mistake and takes several steps back from AC^R in every possible way, from having a worse main system to crippling the vast majority of the cast bar Sol, Ky, Faust and the newcomers.

Too bad all those neat character gimmick except maybe Assrails' and Rachel's are only used for combo strings unlike GG where tricky characters like Testament, Zappa, Venom or Bridget had actual gimmicks that worked both in and out of comboing, not just an Donut Steel button that ends up being used as a normal command for combo strings, the character gimmicks are basically nonexistent in most cases because they're all there to extend combo strings and little else, even characters with Gauges like Arakune, Carl or Tsubaki end up only using their gimmicks as combo strings tools.
BB tries to ape Vampire Saviour but fails hard at figuring what made VS's characters gimmicks work, even GG had a better understanding of character mechanics than BB, until Xrd, but then again Ishiwatari isn't a total hack like Mori.

I don't see anything too worth getting working up about here. Just some cheesy moves assigned to a cheesy character, such nonsense is to be expected of Hazuma's final form.

I haven't been keeping up with BB for a long time, though. I've mainly been a spectator for fighting games anyway, and as far as that goes, KOF and Smash has been more fun to watch.

As of the end Chrono Phantasma The Imperator (Saya) is being used as a vessel for Inazami, the god of death. Inazami wants everything dead obviously. She calls down Gigant: Takemikazuchi to this end and Ragna and friends have to punch it in the face until it fucks off. Bang also uses Phoenix: Rettenjō to activate Kushinada's Lynchpin... for some reason. It was pretty important but I can't remember why. I assume the Central Fiction covers them trying to stop Inazami's plans and get Saya back.

Despite time loops being busted and time progressing as normal, there was still some time shenanigans going on with Celica too, as well as one of the side stories covering some of the misadventures of Celica, Nine and Bloodedge. Sector 7 also had a story but buggered if I remember what they did.
