Grow Home and Grow Up are very charming platformers that feature a robot MC traveling a world to collect things. Great sense of exploration and freedom. Highly recommend it at the price it's at.

Depends on your definition of "really good". Heart & Slash, Megabyte Punch, Astebreed, the Transformers games, Machinarium, Talos Principle, Deadluyt Tower of Monsters and the aforementioned EDF4.1 are all cool.

Disco Dodgeball is fun as heck, IF you have a regular group to play with.

I've heard good things about Transformers: Devastation.

Project Nimbus is what I'm the most curious about. It looks cool, but I'm always wary when it comes to early access. I've been following it for a while and it seems like the devs are constantly improving it, but I would like to hear from people who have played it before buying in.

Devastation's fun, but it's definitely a budget game. It reuses a lot of enemies and levels, and I beat it in 2 hours. I suggest waiting for it to drop really low.

Project Nimbus is pretty fun, but it's early access. Basically a fucking Gundam game with funnels, Char clone, and Gundam clone, except its Americans v Russians. Also the pilot of the Gundam is a newtype girl.

Hard Reset is an excellent FPS. More about shooting robots than about being one, but its really good. Plus, who can resist dat 90% discount

A real shame the latest Darius game isn't a part of this sale. It's a very beginner friendly series and has shit tons of replay value thanks to its branching stage layout.

(It's also one of the very few /m/ series that's managed to survive into the 21st century without any major blunders too. Gawd I love these games~)

They're not all ass rape in digital form:
Crimson Clover has a low barrier to entry and several flavors of practice mode.
Astebreed is also pretty soft on you until the last two stages but you should be gud by then.
Jamestown is very VERY newbie friendly, hell it's pretty much the party game of shmups (you'll want to bring friends to maximize your score potential, I'm serious).

Zero is the campaign, Infinity is the high-score arcade mode. Since the campaign's plot is pretty weak, and Infinity is cheaper, I'd recommend Infinity.

There's collecting the STAR seeds and getting the rest of the achievements, which are pretty easy to get once you have all 100 power crystals and have the infinite jetpack. Only hard achievement might be the climbing record one, which you can complete quick by breaking off a spring leaf and clinging to that as it falls.
