Well you can just take that opinion and discuss it amongst fellow Gundam fans. I liked IBO also. While I'm not usually a fan of the Super Robot genre, I did like G Gundam a lot when I sat down and watched it. Truth be told, though, it was actually the thing that turned me off from Gundam back in the 90's when I was all about Macross Plus and MOSPEADA. A friend showed me a vhs he got from a pen-pal of one episode and I thought it was retarded. For fifteen years after that I thought all Gundam was like that. Scream what you're doing, pull giant swords out of nowhere, that kind of thing.

The me of the 90's would have loved IBO, though. Even the older, more mellow me likes the way it shakes up a lot of the standard mecha tropes (Akihiro sniping during the PERSISTENT AND FORTUDINOUS was pure gold).

Are you me? I was a little put off by Orb's backslide into retardation, but once I got over that and accepted that some weapons-grade stupid happened between the shows I thought it progressed nicely. I'm not a Kira-hater, and thought Shinn was a pompous ass, so the ending didn't piss me off like most of /m/.
