First of all, there is no "canon" as far as Sunrise is concerned. The rule is "animated = official"

Second, the Origin OVA does not conflict with UC canon. The manga did, but the OVA backpedaled on those details from the manga that interfered with canon (unless you're just REALLY butthurt about Amuro building Haro from a kit bought at a toy store instead of legit creating him).

Even in the series Amuro didn't build the Haro from scratch, he just made major modifications to it. It's probably the modded Haro or the software itself he got the patent for and got rich off of.

Origin can't be canon because it had guntanks and gun cannons before the oyw. Not to mention the different designs for the battleships and mobile suits.

The Origin manga pushed the rollout dates for Guntank and Guncannon back before Project V. In the Origin anime, the Guntank that lil Casval pilots was a different, older model. Likewise, the pre-Project-V Gunannon in the Origin anime only saw very limited production and was deployed only once on a top secret mission, so the public perception is still that the Federation has no mobile suits.

Unlike the Origin manga, the Guntank and Guncannon that pre-date Project V in the Origin anime are not the same machines that Hayato and Kai pilot in the original series. The RTX-65 is basically just a fuckhuge tank and the Guncannons were a failure that very few people knew about. The Project V Guntank and Guncannon are still brand new prototypes and are still (along with Gundam) part of the first "known" deployment of Federation mobile suits because the RTX doesn't count and the early Guntanks were an embarrassment that was covered up.

They say Amuro built it, no further information exists in the original series. You could argue that this might be meant to imply that he built it from a kit, but no one else is ever seen with one in MSG.

Also in Zeta Gundam when Kamille thinks the one he found may be the one from White Base,Quattro explains that they were mass-produced after the One Year War.
