Definitely, it's a big change from previous seasons regarding the setting and themes and very consistent and the first that is, aside from said team up, 100% self contained. The footage, weapons, and mechs are great and has some nice Sakamoto action.

Lightspeed Rescue is raw hype, or so my childhood memories tell me.

I know for a fact the Sentai it's based on is hype as fuck, often for the exact same reasons. The rescue motif is just insanely hype, especially when you get THIS FUCKER on the scene.

So really you just need to experience either or both of Lightspeed Rescue and/or GoGoV because holy fuck it makes rescue work look like the hypest shit imaginable.

Dino Thunder has some problems, namely they sometimes use the Abaranger footage poorly and the whole behind the scenes ordeal with Jason David Frank, but asides from that it's a legit great series that stands alongside its Sentai counterpart. It's got a lot of neat meta references and callbacks which you'll probably enjoy.

Wonder how the movie is going to pan out, hope they do it justice. Hate the helmets though, can barely even tell what is what, apart from red, and the visors are not unique to each ranger, which is what i loved about the visors in the first place. Even the coins look better than the helmet.

Really hope the zords do not disappoint. Everything else about the movie sounds great so far, its really cool that we're almost near the release date.

So toqger got skipped... That sucks. However, ninjas are always a good thing to have. Even if the sentai equivalent wasnt great. The cast look great, sucks about the yellow ranger though, wonder why he was switched... Really hope it wasnt because of his race, cause thats stupid.

Although the plot of ninja steel doesn't attract me. Its sounds like a very confusing mess, but i digress. Looking forward to the dino charge finale. Exciting stuff as the Ranger stuff gets into the really exciting part of 2016-2017. Who's excited for this shit?

I wonder if Dino Super Charge would have had better pacing if they hadn't introduced so many Rangers in Dino Charge. I think for the most part DC is paced well aside from a pretty rushed finale. However, we had 8 Rangers at the end of the season...and still only the 6 featured for the most part in Super. I know it's because of Sentai footage but it does seem like it might have been easier to work with it if they'd made Kendall and Philip Rangers sometime in Super. Dunno, just thinking cause there has been some fillery stuff lately.

the proportions, articulation, and sculpting all look really enticing, not to mention you don't have to pay figuarts rape dollars, but at the same time, they're bigger than all my figuarts and don't come with individual weapons.

Personally, I love them. Cheaper than figuarts but look cool enough to collect. They said the weapons were taken out because of the build a megazord thing but at Morphicon Bandai panel, they said they figured out a way to release those for fans in the future. Also, it's just cool because this line will probably eventually cover all the teams. I'm collecting only my favorite rangers from each team because I'm not a completionist. Tori Ninja Storm Blue is my favorite figure currently.

1. will it be just a pure weapon pack? or will they come bundled with some variant figure? i don't want to unnecessarily add a figure to a team if it isn't wholly unique (i.e. dragon shield red ranger)

2. will they be made out of that same bendy plastic? i saw in the mmprtoys review that you can bend tommy's long sword to a ridiculous degree and then just smooth it out again. i think i prefer rigid plastic, it would just feel more like a weapon to me in hand.

3. will the megazords have open hands for swords? i know the comiccon red ranger came with a sword for the mech, but i think it had closed fists when on display. i hope they can wield the appropriate weapons

it's amazing how much better they captured the helmet and actual shade of blue compared to the figuarts. but it looked in some reviews like the articulation was hindered by the skirt, and well...her tits look enormous. i don't mean to be a prude, but i don't think the suit actor looked that well endowed in the show.

Some actress was playing a progressive darling on show A but was leaving to do show B, so she set it up with the show A's writers that her character would leave the show in a matter befitting the tone and subject matter of show A - ie. getting shot and dying without fanfare in a gritty post-apocalyptic war story.

Tumblr/Twitter types couldn't handle it and are still, even now, up in arms about "lack of representation in entertainment". Ironically, this is the kind of thing you'd think they'd champion: a woman made a decision about the future of her career, and it wasn't stonewalled by her male colleagues or superiors.

Because I live in the third world and they are very accesible(price-wise, if not availability-wise) but I´ve seen people complaining about that here all the time.

Yes, they are pretty good. They can look pretty badass when posed. I got my first one(Green) three years ago and I still love how it can look.

Just make sure you´re using the right handset for the sword of darkness since the little red part at the handle recently broke because I was always using the wrong hand, but aside from that accident(which was more me being retarded than a problem on the figure) I had no issue.

So now we're stuck with bodysuits that look like light-up Sketchers, generic AYY LMAO helmets and Zords that look like dusty Bionicles. It's trying to do too much with very little inspiration.

That really sucks. I have the SDCC Black ranger with the dragon shield and it comes with the same gear as the plain black ranger. I mean, not that he used any weapons the little screentime he had, but it would have been nice to get another set of blade and gun modes.

If I had to pick something I really liked about the script, it was the little touches of things outside the immediate story. Not like references, or any real world-building stuff, but like the arcade that Billy loves and Jason thinks is super corny. We never see it, unless you count the moment we find it was destroyed in the middle of the Megazord/Goldar fight.

Are they going to make Peter and Yoshi's characters brothers in PR canon? It'd be a nice touch I think, and considering there isn't a lot of continuity between Nick seasons I don't see why they shouldn't.

Yeah, I hated that too. The Jason/Trini bits actually add something to their characterization, but pairing Billy and Kim was just a lazy. The Tommy namedrop too. The idea that they all knew each other at some point but drifted apart is good, and realistic, enough. No need to go out of your way to say everyone was paired off at one point in time.

I actually kind of liked the interpretation of punKim from the audition sides: she got cancer, left school for treatment and told nobody about it. When she was headed back to school, she was afraid of being labeled as "the cancer girl" and manufactured a new identity and reputation as "that girl who went to juvie". It's all a facade, which would make the whole Kim/Billy thing an easier pill to swallow - when they were dating, she was just Kim Hart. I wouldn't have had her be a clone of Trini, but maybe closer to Billy than Jason - make it believable that these two people would have hung out and hooked up.

Probably my favorite account of his from his life is his telling of "that one night my bipolar disorder edged into schizophrenia at a therapeutic boarding school across the country from my family", both the text version and his retelling on the Bizarre States podcast. This did strike me as odd at first, but I suppose it makes sense?

Speaking speculatively, nothing necessitated the use of the Torin or Chaos suits until late game, when you actually saw them more in fights. I'm sure Lynn had a very specific vision in mind when brainstorming Dino Charge of a bounty hunter hunting down the 10 MacGuffins kept by a wise mentor, thus creating Sledge and Keeper, though honestly, in the end, Keeper isn't that different from Torin, they could have just used it from the beginning.

Anyway, now that we're in late game footage, we see Chaos actually popping up, so they do end up using him, and since Silver Ranger features a bunch of blue feathers in his attacks, I think it would have been odd to ignore that. And using the Torin suit opened up more avenues for cutting cost and using Kyoryuger footage, so we see the Zenowing/Doomwing stuff in the plot.

To me, I speculate that they got the Sledge suit made and making another suit (the Keeper one) was somehow a two for one deal or something. It's hard to say why they didn't just use Torin from the beginning, but it's pretty simple to see why they'd be using Chaos and Torin now.

Personally, I ain't complaining, I think the Torin suit is rad, we need a figure.

As for the latest episode, why was there any reason for Zenowing to lie about making the Titano Charger? It really didn't make any sense, and only served to make him more suspicious. Seemed like it should have just been Doomwing talking until he actually demorphed...

I think Sledge was made, and Heckyl was used because their desgins fit more the character archetypes they are supposed to be. I dont see Chaos's suit as a bounty hunter(same way most of us felt before knowing Sledge was gonna be a thing) and neither in Heckyl's role. I don't think it being based on the statue of liberty mattered much.

That said, there are some changes from kyoryuger that I feel are just there to not do the same thing, like making Cyan Red's father and Silver not being the mentor. Just using the sentai plotline would have been fine in this case.
