I love the 70s Honey and the Re: Honey equally, but for different reasons. Shin Honey was pretty boring tbqh, mostly because the series itself was too serious for its own good. Manga Honey was fine (although the 70s adaptation made her more entertaining).
Everything else was pretty unremarkable.

Whoever directed The Live did a good job at capturing Nagai in a nutshell.


This series forces you to feel sad and happy at the same time. If you can't do that, then Nagai is clearly too advanced for you primates.

The 70s anime is probably my favorite. It had a really nice visual style as well as the most clever and competent version of Honey. She's just been getting more and more ditzy with every new series since then.

The 90s OVA has fantastic animation, but I don't think they captured the style very well. It also seemed to lack direction after they killed the bad guy halfway through.

I appreciate Re: for having an actual fucking ending for once, and Honey and Nat being supergay, and this is probably my favorite Honey costume, but it was a bit too Gainaxy.

The Live had Honey being a borderline retard, Panther Claw was Panther Claw in nothing but name and the whole thing with Honey's "sisters" was weird. The actress was hot and action was good, though. I find it to be a fine toku show, but not a good Cutie Honey installment.

I think the original manga is pretty weak to be honest, didn't feel like Nagai was trying at all. And I don't seem to remember anything about the live-action movie even though I'm sure I watched it.
