He did for like 4-5 years. When the anime was cancelled due to poor sales and ratings, jump told Kubo alright rap it up this will be your last story arc. Jump gave Kubo the tone because he used to be a big seller for them and the announcement of the final arc boosted tank sales to not garbage, however Kubo being Kubo stretched the arc out for about 4 years longer than jump intended to give him by constantly throwing in bullshit twists to extend it. Finally this year has enough and whole clearing house told a couple of garbage sellers to pack it up and get their shit out of their magazine. This is why Nisekoi and Bleach both ended this year, largely because thanks to Boku no Hero giving them a second One Piece tier money printer they wanted to get rid of the all the stuff that has been on the verge of cancellation.
