I've only watched New Getter and parts of Shin Getter, so take this with a handful of salt.

The Getter's essence is one of change and growth and seems to be the universal manifestation of this force. As such, the best case scenario seems to be one of willing acceptance and embrace of this force, and becoming a part of it. If one decide to stand in Getter's way however, you'll still be changed, either in destruction our incorporation, but since all change is Getter, and all growth is Getter, you will never be forgotten either way. Getter does not forget. It only changes and grow.
