f91 felt like a 26 episode anime crunched into a movie. CCA felt liek a 6 episode ova crunched into a movie. I disagree that its more complete than cca. yeah CCA was a end to three series worth of plot but at least its connected to the series. f91 is not better for being so disconnected, its only a generation away from the OYW shit yet they act like its ancient history, makes no sense. Also I never got the anger over newtypes, if you dislike newtypes then don't watch uc gundam and tomino is not saying we will gain psychic powers and things will be magically better but that people will grow more compassionate and understanding and that will lead to a better future. and as you pointed out its still a theme in f91 and it only compounds the newtype theme in f91's sequels.

You're giving CCA too much credit. when CCA came out it was more like a 1/4 of a story which is made even smaller by each new entry in the franchise.

CCA definitely felt more like a feature film. The animation, direction, musical score, etc was showcased throughout.

F91 wasn't bad mind you, I love F91, I just feel like you can see the studio meddling involved in the production. Tomino clearly wanted a series and Sunrise saw dollar signs in another Gundam movie. It really feels like the beginning of a 3 part compilation film with parts 2 and 3 never seeing the light of day.

Crossbone isn't "the rest of F91". There is no "the rest of F91", Crossbone is a distant sequel to F91, pretty much its own thing with some returning characters. At least read the original Crossbone manga, you make up your own mind about the Crossbone sequels (Skull Heart, Steel Seven, and Ghost).
