Survival is more important than SR points. Get used to reloading a lot, especially at the end of the game where you need all 30-40 Valored finishers to kill a boss and can't afford to have someone die.

Depends on how many casts of Renew you can get out at the end of the game given that you can't pay money to add 100-150 EN to the SRX and R-Gun. I mean, you can just pair it with the Grungust Type-3 that has two Zeal-users in it (hopefully they can cast Zeal twice each at full SP), but the main thing would be EN.

If you're at base stats and the enemies have more upgrades than normal it's not going to help nearly as much as you think it will. This isn't @3 where Ex-Hard is Ex-Tedious because there's no Targetting stat and you're still allowed to spend money on unit upgrades and PP.

Direct Hit DOES affect accuracy penalties due to size differents strangely enough.
I had Gunbuster go from 50%s of the small STMC to 90% after casting Direct Hit and nothing else.

I don't know what to tell you then dude, but I didn't touch Bright or the Argama's stats besides a few bars in Targeting and he was pulling incredible accuracy even against shit like LFOs and Overmen as soon as I got Size Ignore on him. Unrelated to the above, and finishing the game, I replayed the Space route, and then went for the Earth route to see which one was more difficult.

Without using upgrades, the Earth route was very easy, with only 3 stages causing any kind of trouble, while Space had almost every stage be a hassle (first stage was the only easy one of the bunch).

What's the deal with Barrier Pierce and Barrier Ignore in OG? Pierce and Ignore both seem to completely null barriers' damage reduction, but Pierce has the added bonus of forcing the barrier to activate, which can make the target waste EN. Meanwhile, Barrier Ignore doesn't cause the barrier to activate, making it less desirable.
