Why is Turn-A Gundam the best Gundam series and blows everything else out of the water?
Because it's not a show about war, it's a show about preventing it.
Because it's a show about doing chores, not making war.
Because it's fucking comfy and muh feels
>>14599444
because you like Ghibli more than you like Gundam
Because 2D traps>2D girls>2D boys
>>14600083
but i don't like Ghibli.
>>14599514
> teleportation
The music probably does it.
Because both GMs and Zakus are shit and Kapools are truly the best grunts of all time.
>>14600650
Lies. Everyone likes Ghibli.
>>14599444
Delicious brown trap
>>14601198
they're ok. its all the same shit though
>>14601191
It's also cuter than the Acguy and I hope one day to see a custom of it in a show rather than yet another fucking Bearguy. He was fun the first one or two times, but it's just tiresome at this point.
Because it's the new meme to think Turn A is the bestbut in actuallity Zeta is the best
>>14599444
Because it's one of the least popular Gundam series out there, and /m/ eats up obscure shit like nothing else.
>>14602332
X, Victory and ZZ are just as, if not more obscure and normally have lower ratings and number of people who watched them on sites like ANN or MAL and Turn-A appears to be more popular than any of them here, so that hypothesis doesn't really bare out.
>>14602357
Turn A killed the franchise.
Victory is popular here, X is popular here, ZZ isn't, but it's also not obscure. It was the Gundam show with the second-highest ratings last I checked.
>>14602357
>ANN
>MAL
>>14602363
I wasn't talking about here, I was talking about the English fandom in general, who seem to know and care less about those shows going by sites like ANN and MAL.
>>14602365
> using popular sites to show popular views
> somehow a bad thing just because anon doesn't like the sites personally
Grow up.
>shows both sides of the conflict, their views, and the flaws along with the positives that each has to offer
>each character has a unique struggle throughout the series and are allowed to evolve
>mech fights are very few and low scale, which adds to the tension as things further escalate
>positive message about anti-war that doesn't feel hamfisted
Turn A is the best for a lot of reasons
>>14601191
When they're running it's adorable.
>>14602445
>>anti-war message doesn't feel hamfisted
Absolutely not, it was like watching Miyazaki's movies.
>>14599444
It's in my top 3 of the gundam franchise that's for sure.
And the other 2 are OVA's
>>14601198
>Lies. Everyone likes Ghibli.
no ghibli is a shit miyazaki can suck his own dick
>>14602332
where do you think you are?
The sword fight at the end.
Loran just goes BONKERS on Gym.
Turn A was really great for me but around the last episodes it really felt limp and the ending really felt underwhelming
>>14609914
>motherfucking Turn X starts wrecking shit
>they start teleporting what the fuck
>moonlight butterfly happenings
>UNIVERSE
I dunno how that could be underwhelming at all.
>>14601185
Yoko Kanno is the best
>>14609914
The last five minutes of the last episode was great.
>>14609923
I don't know anon, i don't feel it's up to par with other endings
>>14609936
Only saving grace
>>14609923
There's only one instance of possible teleportation, which is by the Turn-A and the way it's done suggests Gym's assertion that it's it's invisibility and not teleportation is correct. Saying it like there's multiple instances by both suits seems weird.
>>14609971
Don't be so autistic.
>>14609914
the last scene really blows. It just plain sucks and it doesn't have a very good reason to be there
>>14609936
Those five minutes were pretty magical. I still get feels when I watch it again.
>>14610003
I know, me too. Actually just hearing that song brings it back.
Because Turn A has actual thematic subtext. the writing may not have been great but the overall plot was utterly amazing, I couldn't believe I was watching a Tomino anime.
>>14609959
>That knock-off Bright in the background.
>Turn A is good
I wish you trap loving faggots would leave our board and return to your home site BLACKED.com
The majority of Gundam is pretty bad. People who like Gundam as a whole typically agree with this.
It has the best doujin as well
>>14602329
>disregard this new meme
>use this old one instead
>>14611475
People who won't shut up about traps are the worst part of the show, including detractors who pretend it's the show's main attraction. You'd swear it was a big part of the show rather than something that takes up 10 or 15 minutes across two episodes in the show and which Loran stated his distaste for on multiple occasions, including saying he didn't want to do it when it's suggested as a plan to get the Turn-A back later in the show.
>>14611590
Please ignore the /v/ shitposter.
>>14601185
>mongolian throat singing intesifies
>>14599444
Cause hardly anyone saw it.
Speaking of Turn A has anyone ripped the official subs yet?
>>14615985
Nevermind, I'm an idiot and already downloaded them last year
>>14616924
Holy shit nice, this'll be the first gundam I actually buy.
>>14602363
>X is popular here
No it isn't
>>14618244
Almoat any Gundam fan on this board could recognize Garrod or Jamil, at least.
>>14602363
> Turn-A Gundam killed the franchise
No, it didn't. There as more of a gap between the airing of Gundam X and Turn-A than between Turn-A and Gundam SEED, even if only by a few months. Turn-A got compilation movies, X didn't. Turn-A had a concert for it's music, X didn't. I'm pretty sure Turn-A had more gunpla than X too, since I don't think X ever had any gunpla of any of it's grunts and Turn-A had several between the WaD, the WaDom, the SUMO, the Kapool and I think a few others.
Turn-A would have had the lowest ratings for th franchise prior to AGE if not for X having been moved to a new time slot, but even at it's original slot it as only getting a small bit more viewers than Turn-A on average. hat Turn-A did as cause Banrise to shift from straight up AU's to trying to re-capture 0079's lightning in a bottle again with SEED. Turn-A only delayed that though, because X's ratings ere already poor enough by prior standards to make it a likelihood regardless. Banrise seemed to hope Tomino coming back would revitalize ratings and get them back to Zeon era numbers, since they'd been sliding ever since the end of ZZ, but since that didn't work out they went a new route. Neither X nor Turn-A killed the franchise, they just caused Banrise to shift marketing strategies.
>>14618284
That doesn't make X popular, only recognizable - which isn't the same thing.
>>14620509
>X ever had any gunpla of it's grunts
Well, there was the LM kits that was somewhat available in the late 90's.
