That said, I was expecting the show to be full-on light-hearted (as that's what Taro is known for being as), but it's only really the earlier episodes and a few later episodes (like the infamous drunk monster/dancing Taro/alien music episode). Otherwise, it's pretty much like any other series.

One thing I really loved about Taro were the world building episodes and general crossovers. The Birdon and Alien Temperor episodes are really notable shame Taro as a series isn't canon anymore

Seriously though, you can rant at them for being in the poor house all you want, but they're still making new monsters. Just not as often as you'd prefer.

And honestly I'm impressed at how well-maintained their older suits are. Even if some of them are just from 15-20 years ago, it's still worth noting (especially compared to certain other franchises who can't maintain a monster suit more than a few months). More so that they can keep working around it in a way that makes sense.
