I got it a few weeks ago myself, plays great with a lot of variability between suit styles.
Works well on a gamepad but I recommend a fight stick.

if you mean the final story mission then I don't see how you are having trouble, just use the repair skill to keep it alive. Neo zeong is the shittiest boss I have ever fought so once you clear everyone out and he shows up then you pretty much won.

are you using the 50% attack and defense boost at the start? I would go with fazz or fauc since they can dish out damage very fast. If you want to go with a 2k then maybe gundam or exia. Gundam can do pretty good damage all around.

I think the Blue Frame Astray might be one of my favorite suits to use now.
Seems to have really strong mid and close range abilities, but mostly the suits movement and sword transforming gimmicks are really enjoyable.
