I wouldn't blame you for forgetting they exist, they're pretty bland ingame too. The Outlaw Star has the benefit of having either 5-6 pilots, can't remember the exact number, so that's a lot of SP to burn, even if the unit itself is rather weak. Stargazer though is multiple flavors of useless, even with it being a two seater, it's outpowered by a lot of first stage Gundams.

Anyway, on my end, Ruina, Zuvorg, Gadisword (MD, no GC sprites) and S-MAPs (Real Robot Battle Line, used what I could find) sections are done.

I'd honestly say that there's more good units than bad, and a majority IS useful, but the best are usually locked behind combiners. Some of my personal favorites are Daikengo with really good range and power, LL size and having access to two pilots with Cheer, making it a offensive/support hybrid, all wrapped up in a 3 part combiner. Mark Sein, with surprisingly high power and a healing move, something that makes it very unique and survivable, Aquarion and really any Dancouga like >>14509623 mentioned, and a lot of the OGs are definitely in that category too. I'd give a special mention ot PaniPoniX which has the spirits and strength of a 5 piece combiner in a single unit, Exaxxicon for having some of the best range game in the system (sacrificing some movement for it but having sniping that great makes it irrelevant), Yamato for being the strongest battleship in the game by far and being able to MAP things like crazy (by that extension, Ideon and Simoun, although the later is harder to use) and I'd even say Layzner for being dodgy as all hell with a really cost efficient weapon set. There's a probably a lot more that I'm not thinking of at the moment, but that's what came to me off the top of my head.

Nadesico's actually really good in Impact. Five pilots, but six potential pilots (as in you can revolve who's in the seats based on what spirit commands you need), plus Distortion Field still makes for a great barrier. Plus it helps Aestis inherently, and Aestis are good in Impact.

Is it? I found some choices questionable. Without the Devil Gundam Albero just kind of meanders about because...he's supposed to be a rival for Hugo. He goes from stealing the Medius and basically going renegade for the sake of making himself and Hugo stronger so they can get their revenge...to working for the GS as their lapdog because of a trick, then getting shot and killed unceremoniously by Erde after fighting Hugo a few times. I don't think they even have him wrestling control of AI1 from Erde during the battle. He's just shot and gone long before the finale.

As for Hugo, he seems to have been demoted from being the hero in his own storyline, mostly being anti social and hiding in his room because of his cyborg pain, then sucked into the Medius for several stages, making Aqua get more focus than him.

Albero's story is more tragic. He believes his son is alive, and is forced to be Elde's lapdog so she can bring him back, while also fighting the man he views as a son. He dies seeing all his efforts go to waste, but his death leads to the final defeat of AI1.

And on Aqua getting more focus was a good thing. Making her connection to Elde stronger made it seem like she mattered in the story, while in MX is something that barely factored into anything.
