It really isn't. If Zeta was a fighter jet, ANT would involve upgrades to its radar, communications, and targetting systems while throwing out its landing gear, rudder, and elevators. The new visuals are quite nice, but they've removed what's really needed to make it work.

Look, 00 had some stumbles particularly in S2, Wing had that and then too much stock footage to boot, AGE shit the bed in act three, and IBO had its share of issues.

But none of them can really compare to the sheer stupidity of DESTINY. Pretty much all of the flaws that can be pointed out with any of the shows I mentioned are present in DESTINY, all at once, and in many cases even more so. Stock footage like in Wing? DESTINY had that in spades. A total inability to close out the story in a halfway decent way, like how AGE fell on its face at the end? DESTINY did that too.

Pretty much any flaw that you can find in any gundam series, DESTINY has it.

1. Domon's over-the-top finishing moves, which also featured over-the-top dramatic dialogue and really intense dramatic music
2. Domon's perfect ass (and sometimes Raine's ass)
