I think one of the main problems with the big crossovers is that they're all written by Yonemura, who clearly isn't comfortable in giving lines to the suit-only heroes or even making references to heroes that don't have their actors in the movie (like how Shotaro never references Philip in Rider Taisen, even though he must have been there because they turn into W). If they want to make some big movie with all Riders, they need to commit to it and treat all Riders as characters, even if minor ones, not just suits that randomly break their silence sometimes.

I really think like we could get a good movie if they gave it to Sho Aikawa, since he showed in those two final Wizard episodes that he has no problem giving lines to the suit-only Riders.

I'm nearly done watching Agito and I have to ask - does Gills ever catch a fucking break? It's like every other scene he gets fucked up and bed ridden for an entire week, his whole life crumbles apart, people thinks he is and threat him like a monster, he literally FUCKING DIES, like three different people had to use all of their mystic power bullshit just to keep him from dying and his super form is one of the edgiest, ugliest thing I've ever seen... And the worst of all is that deep down he's a pretty good guy. I want to see him be happy, but the entire world just keeps shitting on him like he shouldn't exist. Now they just introduced a GF for him and they're foreshadowing hard that she'll end up killing herself. If they don't give him an happy ending some time down the line, all that suffering will have been really fucking depressing.

Junior of a local floral shop owner Kobayahi Haruna is attacked by a monster plant that kills his father and attempts to eat him, but instead ends up merging with him after a mysterious package opens itself to expose a belt. Nope. There's a bit of up-in-the-airness to Hongo while transformed. Some information says he looks "human," just horrifically scarred. Then the novel pic related - which has something to do with Ishinomori's own thoughts on how Kamen Rider would've gone if Fujioka didn't get injured - implies he looks like a monster under hte costume, similar to how Kamen Rider Shin's son does in the SIC story.

But basically anything else in Shocker had a "human" form and the monstrous form that would overtake them.

Not really for most of them. They actually show Scorpion Man removing his human face when "transforming". Hongo was special since he was the super chosen one and such, not just a random nobody. There are arguably some exceptions though like Bee Woman.

They do what you're saying for everyone in The First/The Next though.

Those books were written after Ishinomori's death. His designs never showed a monstrous Hongo either, although he did start pushing in that direction for Rider in general in the middle 80s.

In his own manga, Hongo under the helmet is just scarred. They recently used those scars in the last few live action movies too for Rider 1 and Rider 3 (don't know if they showed them in the new movie).

depending on what type of person you are can either be one of the most heart warming coming of age stories you will ever see or about 30 or so episode of slow as FUCK dialogue. I personally loved the first half but again depends on who you are.

Now this one I feel more people are united on when I say whichever side you take on the first half you can say that the second half is just NOT the same series anymore. Mainly because of the production issues that were mentioned earlier. But its not that bad if you somehow pretend the first half never existed or if you didnt even like the first half maybe you'll enjoy the 2nd more.
