STAND UP TO THE VICTORY
DON'T STOP CARRY ON
Are Victory Gundam's OPs the most uplifting and cheesy 90s /m/ OPs ever?

They definitely are the most uplifting, which is probably suppose to be a sick joke on the behalf of the production team. Still, they're my favorite gundam ops despite how misleading they are.

Didn't Tomino write all of them?

No, X's are.
Now Winners Forever?
Damn son, that is an ED to end all EDs

>No, X's are.
Dreams is slow and somber though
>>14361829
The melody is slow, but the song is pretty fast paced
>>14361750
Goddamn Tomino was fucked up back then
>>14361750
Tomino wrote the first one with someone else while Nishiwaki Yui (also helped with writing Eternal Wind and Resolution) wrote the lyrics for the second one
>>14362135
He also wrote this (you know, the insert song for the Reinforce Jr kamikaze scene)so yes, very fucked up

I've never agreed with the whole "Victory is grimdark" thing. Especially when you compare it to standalone Zeta.
I've always looked at it through the lens of Winners Forever, where it's about a group of people who choose to stand up against tyranny, regardless of the personal cost.
And besides Odello, the whole main cast makes it out of the war, without suffering PTSD or crippling injuries. Other than Katejina, but fuck her. Hell, she even gets a second chance at life, despite being blind.
But what the hell happened to Uso's dad?

>the whole main cast makes it out of the war, without suffering PTSD
What show did you watch, because that was obviously not victory.

Uso, Shakti, and the rest of the children were fine by the end of it, with chances of settling down and being able to lead normal lives. All the other adults, aside from Marvet went out in a blaze of glory, which is better than what a lot of the characters in Zeta got.

>uso
>fine
Dude has been turned into a killbot so brutally effective he literally cannot understand why people do not dodge his shots.
And it seems 'the whole main cast' actually means 'a tiny portion of the main cast'.
