Personally, I feel as though they tried really hard to go after a younger demographic for those series and the show suffered.

I liked what Ninninger had to say about red-centricity a lot. Its pretty much right in that rangers as food analogy. Red is the leader and gets more focus, but thats all well and good. However he goes better with other rangers too and the show typically at least tried to do that. I didn't give a damn about kill stealing, you can still have great character focused episodes without having that character defeat the monster at the end. It really rubbed me the wrong way how everyone but Red was essentially a side-character in TQG. The villains had all this plot going on between them and the only ranger to be involved was Red, with the main villain wanting to steal his shine. You seriously could have turned the show into a season of Kamen Rider, deleted the other rangers or made them his train buddies and not had to change the plot at all. Blue, yellow and pink were all boring, generic rangers. Oh, and speaking of which, most of the cast was ugly or, at least, only generically pretty. I'll keep it short on Kyoryu. I didn't like how they portrayed Daigo as being better than the rest but at least his actor was better than Rights and all the other characters were fun too.
