Mika doesn't really face much peril, that's true. But does it really count when he doesn't face much of anything to begin with? I mean seriously, he killed Orlis, Crank, Carta, Ein, the Gusion guy, a couple guys in Mars orbit, a couple Brewers, a couple of Carta's thugs. That's one of the worst kill counts for a Gundam TV protag.

Zambot 3 without a doubt had the most ridiculous case of plot armor when it came to the cast I've ever seen. Literally no one dies in that entire show it's so fucking stupid.

Yes, it still counts, especially when the fights were lackluster even without Mika having no trouble.
I honestly can forgive a boring invincible hero a lot more if their fights are actually entertaining.

Pretty much any Gundam, equally. We know the hero can't die until either episodes 24-26 or 50-54. They've signed the contract. It's too formulaic and none are willing to break status quo on a gamble. Now it's "how will he win" or "how will be survive" rather than "will he die next sortie"

How about pretty much any series, ever, especially one focused on a single main hero rather than partners or mentor/pupil? Nobody ever expects the MC to die. What OP means is which MCs can't lose or even take a hit?
