Gatos two machines were probably picked because they made good obvious bad guy units, while they passed up on GP-01 since it's really similar to Amuro's Gundam.

Also half the MSs in this game are reused from the previous games, with the new content focus on Endless Waltz and G. The Japanese Battle Master games just threw together a bunch of cool looking UC machines and put donut steel pilots in them.

DSHEW was ridiculously good as was Heavyarms and Wing Zero. Then you have playable Hydra which almost never happens.

It happened in the first Battle Assault, DSHEW was a gimmick it wasn't ridiculously good. Heavyarms and Wing Zero were pretty shit in anything but a shootout, even then Full Armor ZZ is better. Epyon they just went the wrong way with that shit, instead of that energy ball shit it should just have beam saber combos or better yet a rekka styled gameplay
