The perfect series to trigger Feddies with since they didn't portray Zeon as monsters who used mobile suits fueled by the stem cells of aborted fetuses.

Only some of the action scenes were worth it. The animation outside of that was shite, the characters looked so bad. Not to mention that the characters themselves *were* bad. Probably the shittiest cast and voice acting in the franchise.

Became too formulaic despite "a man's pride" ,"machine choose me to ride it" themes.So we got feddies being the one dimensional villain in these mens' path.

2nd series with feddies was too retarded with that irritating Grim the Ripper .Feddies always get short end of the stick despite being cannon fodder to make Zeek retarded designs look cool.

Hardly, the complaint I commonly see is that the Feddies were just one dimensional villains with an accent you don't like. Which is hardly the case. A good example is Czariano's squad where he orders his type 88s to retreat because they can't take on the Hidolfr after it took our half their Zakus and Czariano's remaining man coming to aid him after his Zaku was disabled.

Considering the mobile suits have horrible aerodynamics. (Although there is no drag in space so that shouldn't matter.) It would make the suits much more fragile going at high speeds. This goes double for suits like the GM because they are actually three seperate pieces held together. I assume the reason why Federation green lit the GMs even though they had the same problem as the Zudah (Even worse really because they broke apart before the Zudah.) was a combination of running out of time for development and testing, not expecting the suits to be pushed so hard, and most importantly, having so many produced that the Feddies didn't care if a few did fall apart.

The reason why is because it's the second Gundam series (0080 was the first) where the main protagonist wasn't a pilot and you got see how he transformed from an optimistic greehorn to a cynical veteran since the 603rd time and time again was shafted throughout the war where they had be used as a decoy, a dumping ground for failed prototypes and part of a propaganda war. But Oliver and the crew were still willing to soldier on because it was his duty to do so.

Yeah, the shinigami was weird, but overall it was a pretty cool production.

The intro to Igloo 2 is the best thing to have come out of the UC-timeline franchise.
