If that doesn't count, then SEED. I'd get the Unicorn staff to animate it, no Hiraiface, no reused footage, and go with the original planned ending of Kira dying and Athrun losing an arm just so I could watch Black_Knight argue with people about Destiny not being canon anymore.

X really ended up total shit thanks to rushing the whole second half. And Origin should've been a Yamato 2199 style OVA from the start of volume 1 up through the end. None of this starting with the young Char stuff. Hell, are they even going to adapt the rest of the 0079 story or are they just doing the prequel stuff?

Also arguably F91, if just to get a full blown series out of it.

Bandai will not retell 0079, it is sacred ground. They can shove anything in and around it but they can't retcon anything in the original series. It would be suicide. So yes, it will only be prequel stuff. Besides, the animation isn't a huge deal. I don't want them to blow their load like the Casval opening scene and show all the MS going crazy fast all the time.
