I have a neighbor who I can tell has a pretty good sound system despite me not knowing them or even seeing the inside of their house once.
They don't blast the music, but man, when they turn on their sound system, the bass can be heard even if you're several concrete walls away from them.

I personally bring my earphones with me when I have to travel further than the usual nearby eating places.
They isolate noise good enough for me, and thanks to that I don't even need to turn up the volume from my usual volume level(1 or 2) unless I'm in a train and said train is in a tunnel.
I don't get why some people using earphones blast their music so loudly, you can hear the music when you're standing beside them. Why use earphones when you're gonna blast the music so loudly?
