From what I gather Plamoo actually teaches a animation course at some University as a lecturer, so close enough. There was actually a period where they had a channel they stuck a bunch of animation clips up as a reference for stop motion techniques.

this, stop motion requires patience and time, I used to do some shitty stop motions just for fun, even if you do 8-10 frame/second it still takes quite a bit of work and the standard is more than double that.
