I think people's problem with this is, what does that actually mean?

Reform a global military is not a simple or obvious plan, even as the head of the organisation which if anything can make it harder to do anything specific especially if they just don't listen. And killing everyone loyal and close to him, lessening the power of the organisation while helping other fractions (all of which are kinda corrupt or done corruptly) don't seem to help in any obvious way.

These especially don't make sense when he seemed set to be the next in line for power anyway, in that case killing those close to you would make it really hard to enact any plan

IBO has way too many "breathing" episodes where the characters just talk about things. The ratio was alright early in the show, but around the Brewers arc it got ridiculous. The Fumitan arc in particular was awful about this and was the low-point of the show.

The show set up hard for S2. It has potential to pay off, but it can all be squandered easily. Gundams with better S1s have done so in the past.

The entire episode was a laugh a minute and I like IBO more than I dislike it. Like, all of these characters here, on-screen, are unimportant. Why not kill them off, to show the terrible cost of war? I don't think anyone would miss them.

Sometimes I wonder if I've grown too cynical. Like, we know that we can't really give miserable, bone-crunching endings in a show. But I feel that some degree of loss and/or setback is necessary.

Like, if Ein killed both girls and what's-his-name, what would change? The ending would just be a little sadder, that's all. Personally, I'd have liked to see the old guy take the stand and immediately disavow Kudelia, and chide her with a - "What do you expect? You're in the adult world now. Hmm at first i was thinking. no way, Mika killed Ein and Gali wouldn't stand for that. but then again Chocochar said he turned Ein into a monster to be killed so Tekkadan would be heroes. So I could see Gali being the masked guy of part 2 and having Tekkadan run a mission for him. so he could get revenge on McGillis for getting Ein/Carta killed and betraying him.

but that said not sure how Gali would be able to do that. Seriously doubt he'd still have the Kimaris. (that suit is a dead give away who the pilot is.) with him being "KIA" thanks to McGillis Gali wouldn't have any power/money to afford the new Tekkadan rates I'd assume. So him coming back would mean he'd have to join a pirate/brewers like group and work up from there.

If Gaellio winds up being alive I'll drop the series on the fucking spot.

How I'm supposed to take McGillis seriously as a villain if he leaves such a massive gaping hole in his plan by letting someone with a prestigious position in Gjallarhorn, who knows his whole plan, live even through he had more than enough time and opportunity to make sure the guy is dead AND the guy being dead is of vital importance for his plan to succeed.

Sorry for Gali-Gali fans, but if Okada chooses to sacrifice the plot in order to pander to the fanboys then this series won't be worth watching anymore.

Gali-Gali was stabbed by someone who has very high skill and precision, who wanted him dead in order for his plan to succeed, there would be no point for him doing all that and not doing something as basic as checking if Gaellio was really dead.

And McGillis will be the villain of the next season, if he is proven to be an incompetent idiot right of the bat, then what would be the reason to stomach 25 episodes of this?

I stand by it, if Okada asspulls Gaellio back to life only because of his fans, I'm done, I like the guy too, it was sad to see him die in such a sad and pathetic way, but it was also necessary to show how much of a cunning sociopath McGillis is, and for the spectators to dislike him.

If Gaellio survived, and somehow the plot bends itself for it to not be the instant failure of McGillis's plan, by making Gali an outcast or something as stupid, and then make him work along the people who killed his childhood friend in cold blood, all of this to pander to his fans, then I'm fucking done, and I will hope the series bombs and that Okada never gets to write anything ever again.

If Gaellio ends up surviving, then he could spell the downfall of ChocoMan, because Gali is a high ranking officer who knows his whole plan and is also the head of one of the seven houses McGallis is trying to control.
