They don't just have a billion years, they've got a hundred billion. It also doesn't start at the other end, it starts dead centre. If it started at the other end it would take twice as long.
This sounds like something SRW should've jumped on much earlier with their whole maha kalpa thing.

Stat skillparts, yes. You only get 1 per playthrough as opposed to UX's mostly-2 (some were mutually-exclusive due to routes or required mapw double-kills).

So there's a reason that the TV version of Psybuster has a Psyflash solo move and a combo move with the TV version of the other MasouKishin in the SRC data, then.

As for my citations:

杉田智和氏はこの作品が声優としてのデビュー作であり、『うますぎWAVE』初回放送においてデビュー作の主題歌を遠藤正明氏が歌っていたという話題になった際に、「デビュー作を馬鹿にされるのが一番腹が立つ」と発言している。

また、杉田氏は「アニメ版サイバスターがスパロボ参戦してほしい」と同ラジオ第360回で発言している。

He said on the first Umasugi Wave that he gets mad when people badmouth it, and on #360 said he wants to see it in SRW.

Reposting this http://pastebin.com/vvR4X8Ph

2006: When Divine Wars the TV series was confirmed, someone posted the following on 2channel

-The Huckebeins won't be in the show.
-This is because Sotsu/Sunrise are complaining that they resemble Gundams too much.
-Terada tried to talk to them, but Sunrise threatened him saying that if they want Huckebeins in the show they won't have Gundams in SRW ever again
-Sunrise said they're fine with them in the games, but just don't want them on TV
-The staff are very troubled over this and are wondering what to do with Bullet

This same person also suggested that the two Astranagants would show up in the first episode.

After the first episode aired, there was another post saying that they paid Sunrise (as in literally forked out cash) to get permission to have a Huckebein show up in one of Rai's flashbacks. This really happened in episode 3.

Obviously, this proves that this anonymous poster was legit.

After that:

OGs PV- Versions allowed to be displayed in shops had all Huckebeins removed.

Kits- One month before the Mk II and Boxer went on sale, it was announced that they would be a limited release (first print only, no further batches), and that all other Huckebein kits on sale would also be out of production.

Usually when something this big happens there will of course be an announcement, but there wasn't at all. Also left on Supalog (2007) was a message about "the thing that everything is asking about", saying that they at the time could not say anything at all, suggesting pressure from an outside source.
http://blog.spalog.jp/?eid=542699

In 2009, the tankoubon of Gemaga's Secret Hanger (compilation of SRW stuff from the magazine) had the illustrations of the Mk-II Trombe removed, and though the name could still be seen in various media, the Huckebein itself was not seen at all (comics and so on included).

In 2010's The Inspectors, the story was changed at the series composition level to remove the Huckebeins entirely, and in exchange some new robots were introduced.

And then in 2012 came OG II where all the Huckebeins were destroyed, save for the Exbein which was one of the replacements introduced in The Inspectors.

spoilers, because the ending of that show was so gloriously what the fuck (although I think other sci-fi shows have done it before)

They discover that the universe they inhabit is basically a petri dish experiment a bunch of higher life forms concocted for their amusement, and the Gakusaver is like one of the things they threw in there or whatever, it's been a while. The big reveal is that they're putting an end to the experiment and moving on, which causes the main cast to despair at the idea that the universe is gonna end... only for them to realize (or the dude who dumps the plot on them reminds them) that the way they perceive time is different, and that the actual destruction of the universe from their perspective is going to take a long fucking time (similar to the projected heat death of the universe, basically) and that they have a chance to either fix their own world or at least live out their lives in peace.

It's one long metaphor for entropy basically

>Goku stared Hitler into the eye, then screamed “This… is for LOVE!” and flew up into the sky, his hair turning blonde, his eyes blue, and an aura of power radiating from him. Hitler looked on in horror at Goku. He had made the ultimate achievement. He had become a Super Ultra Power Saiyan. Goku made a cup shape with his hands, aiming at Hitler, as he belted out the words “Kame… Hame… HAAAAA!” as a beam of pure energy shot at his enemy, disintegrating the Nazi leader’s body. Goku then collapsed to the ground in a heap, exhausted from the fight. Two years later: Anne and Goku had finally reached the date of their wedding. After the battle, Anne and Goku destroyed the time machine and took a boat to Australia. They changed their names and lived new lives, ready to start over. The two young people looked into each others eyes as they kissed, as the reverend pronounced them man and wife. Finally, it seemed, Anne was at peace. And they would always be together, until the end of time.

Because is not a fish-themed mecha. See, after all the Z games, the Pisces Sphere Holder is the only one not accounted for (besides Capricorn, since Xine was supposed to be the Sphere holder, but Asakim got it from someone else). As such, the Shurouga Sin is there to fill up space.

For the record, Monica wasn't from the Code Geass game. She had only appeared in the anime and it's more like some people thought her design was nice than anything else. She still dies in that manga, but they at least gave her more to do before that point.

The one from the game was Nonette, who actually survived the anime after all and also got to do a few things late into the Oz manga.

I believe Monica did get like two or three very short speaking scenes before her death, but they were just talking to the Emperor on his ship and dealing with the "rebellion" Lelouch started among some island forces after the betrayal and before Ragnarok. That's all for her in the show prior to the death scene.

Is the Dijeh a good replacement for Nu Gundam for Amuro?

I was thinking that if I put him in that, I wouldn't need to give him the Focused Attack skill, and give him SP-UP or something, and give the Nu Gundam to Char, who comes with the skill
>>

Char doesn't come with Attack Again, nor does he have the Skill stat for it. And while you can't Attack Again with Fin Funnels, double tapping with basically any of the Nu's other weapons does plenty of damage.

I have to wonder if the plot, for whatever little they are, of the mobage SRW could stand on their own if they decided to go insane and remake them as actual standard SRW games.

Probably not, since Card Chronicle had a lot of crazy-looking cross-series stuff like Kotetsushin Jeeg & Double Getter or God Gundam/00 Raiser (though that could always be done off-screen like Triple Inazuma Kick) and X-O looks to have minimal going on. I only played for a little bit in the early days, but in the early story, aside from a little bit of Daitarn grunts showing up, it was all early 00.
>>

Nonette WAS supposed to die, but they invented a random new Rounds on the spot to take her place because of her popularity. So instead she just vanished.

Do you get a good look at it or is it just vague?

Because in the anime itself they go through almost comical camera tricks to make sure whatever Monica and Doretha are piloting isn't ever shown on screen. Lancelot fires at the screen, internal cockpit shot of them exploding, cut to dust cloud.

X-O did a lot of the late parts of Gundam 00's first season alongside some Gaogaigar, Code Geass, Mazinger Z/Great Mazinger, and Getter Robo plot and a little dash of Original early on. (And maybe some Zeta too, I forget). Then Chapter 2 is like all Star Driver and Zeta Gundam with apparently a dash of Combattler V? Haven't fully beaten it - though it's a lot shorter. Also, Duke Fleed is in the play committee thing from Star Driver, which...

The only reason I know about it at all was apparently one of the mechs in Tech Romancer was based off of it and forced me to do a little digging to even find a name. Weird coincidences I guess.

You don't really see the doubled up moves all that much but when they show up they tend to have super low ammo counts anyway so it kind of defeats the purpose of it really.

Also while I was rifling around with the new update I noticed some changes. All of the Dangaioh pilots got some portrait updates, and there's a few others that got the same here and there, and when I got the red Lvl Arrow as a bonus, it only did 2 instead of the usual 3. I'm going to assume it was nerfed for whatever reason.
>>
>>13985639
But Zeorymer isn't an example of that, its strongest move is the single target Meioh.

Hell, on Great, at 15 upgrades, MAP Meioh nearly loses in terms of power to Proton Thunder (or however it's called).
>>
>>13985653
well yeah, But is still one of the strongest attacks, compared to usual MAPs being the first or second weakest attack like Cyflash or Alegrias Servant Slugger.
>>
>>13985673
The issue we're discussing is when the mech has absolutely nothing of finisher quality except the goddamn MAP, which is a rather problematic issue unless said MAP is really good.

Think OE Hyaku Shiki here. Or old games Hyaku Shiki, for that matter. Not things like Zeorymer, which has a normal finisher and a strong MAP, or Nirvash Spec 2 which has a finisher just below the MAP in power (which eventually overtakes it given enough upgrades).

The only one I can really think of off the bat is Hyperion's final attack, but I guess that makes a little sense, EN for all the fuel used for maneuvers, ammo for all the missiles and stuff fires.

I think maybe Gekiganger V is another mech that uses it? I think it has some attack that uses EN and has 2 ammo as well.

Yeah, the nerfing of level-ups was a while back, and every update seems to come with some graphical updates for some units or pilots. Chirico is an example, between my pictures of his earlier upgrade to the final Scopedog he uses, he'd gotten an update from what looked like zoomed-in 16-bit to smooth portraits like Roll there. Then there's the Mat Arrow in your pics having a unit icon, and the El Dora V components getting unit icons, etc.
>>
>>13985686
Excellence Gunner's beam machine gun takes 10 EN and has 10 Ammo. SEVEN SWELL is an ammo/EN move, and I'm fairly certain there are other "costs EN and is also 1 shot" moves out there (The most extreme being like Alpha 3 Goldion Crusher, where it's not even 1 ammo, it's One Use Per Scenario Fuck Resupply We Mean It)

It's definitely good to see him keep going, and I really hope he goes at it for a long time, hopefully with additional series in the future as well. He's one of the only ones I've seen so far that's still pretty regular with updates to his stuff (though in defense of other creators who might still be active, planning out an actual scenario and plot and whatnot probably takes a lot more time than just shoving in the data for new units and tweaking things here and there).

SRC also allows for a lot of custom scenario fun and insanity that scenario creators seem to happily take to. When Tessa piloting the Daikuu Maryuu with a little additional Getter weaponry is one of the less ludicrous things you find, you know you've got something good.
>>
>>13985717
The pastebin definitely gave me that impression with the links to others like it. I've been trying IB recently and that thing is a trip and a half, with stuff like all 5 wing boys packed into a Wise Duck from Tech Romancer or Yzak essentially being the MC with a God Gundam upgrade. You haven't felt true fear until you've seen Zeorymer show up on the opposite side. There's a lot of others too, like a retelling of Xenogears in a SRW style, or a more modern style game that only uses Shmups. I haven't tried the other two yet but they're on my to-do list.
>>
>>13985733
The one you mentioned is one that I haven't tried, but the Xenogears one I have, though with minimal progress.

It shows that with some effort, though, SRC can evolve past its basic interface and become almost akin to real SRW, at least on a superficial appearance, since that one has actual upgrade menus akin to today's games.

Looking into its files, it doesn't seem to do much of anything supremely crazy, though it does look to infect the Divinidad from Crossbone Gundam with the Devil Gundam and make the Devil Divinidad.

One think that a scenario writer apparently has planned for his story is to make Godmars have a final upgrade akin to MX's RahXephon, which visually involves it becoming the GodMars from Giant Robo, and gaining a few new attacks, its strongest even being called Big Fire.

That brings up an interesting question though. Why is there no Durandal? Nearly every other Valkyire beats the crap out of Alto here in terms of use, variety, stats or armor slots which in turn means they beat it out in every category at once. There are too many styles to pin it down, but what you see is more of a "military chant dance" that's popular in Iraq.

Iraqi music and culture does not represent the rest of the Middle East.

I STILL don't understand why everyone says Katia is the best girl gameplay-wise...her spirits are shit and her ability only benefits Bezelute.

Aside from Snipe, maybe Faith...I don't see what's so great about her...

at least Melua has Aid, Enable, and Renew, and Katia has Daunt and Rouse...
Movement is always better than Range (Unless you're finisher isn't PostMovement like Brigande), and Damage is NEVER a bad thing.

I thought the same thing myself while going through and upgrading things; it's yet another thing that could be a potential future update, though you'd think one would be quick to put whatever's already been in SRW proper into SRC Dungeon using SRW as a basis...though if that were the case he'd probably refine some mecha that SRW was kinder to, like Galient and Gorg. (Or Sirbine, but I think at this point Sirbine being suffering is tradition)

I posted a whole list of mecha entries that SRC as a whole has that SRC Dungeon has yet to incorporate, and the list was big enough to force it into two posts, so there's no lack of potential future content.
>>
>>13986402
As a frequent Katia co-pilot, I prefer her because of the mobility bonus. I'm mostly a hit-and-run guy, and I tend to prefer support/combo attacks over heavy DPS capabilities. Katia gives me the fancy footwork when I use the heavier mecha.

Well, explaining the different instruments and musical styles of the Arab world would probably take at least 10 posts at the 2000 letter limit.

However, I can just give you a quick example.

I come from the GCC nations, which are situated in the Arab Gulf.

While this is a specifically Kuwaiti style of music, it should give you a hint at the general style of instruments in use.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UegXLvFvJJM

Keep in mind. The Arab world is not like the Americas, Europe, or Asia.

Close neighbors, who actively trade and cooperate with each other on a variety of ways.

Yet there are so many varieties in our culture that you could basically cross a street and get hit by culture shock.

I realize my post is turning into blog material at this point, but for the sake of sharing some information I'll point out that I'm originally from Kuwait, yet I live in Bahrain now.

Three years after moving, and there are still many things that surprise me. Not in the sense of, "oh that's neat," but in the sense of, "WOW REALLY" and then I have to spend a week asking every Bahraini I know about it just to come to terms with the discovery.

If anyone bases a character based on the Arab world, they'll have to make it "very specific" and study it extremely well to get it right.

Which is something Banpresto will never do.
>>
>>13986402

>>
>>13986414
Good points all around.
The problem I think, implying Banpresto gets off its lazy ass and decides for actual ON-SITE RESEARCH, would be choosing specific country. Hell it's not even based on ethnic groups; just the various religious divides would be enough to cause a political stir that team SRW would definitely like to keep their hands off from.

>>
>>13986429
Here's the fun part about Ahmed in his latest appearance.

He's a Sudanese looking guy.
Wearing a knock off Punjabi turban.
His name is Yemeni.

He's basically my equivalent of the loud, huge American guy who eats burgers and is an asshole to everyone. Alternatively, the flirty Italian guy who says "Mamma Mia" and eats a lot of pasta and sweeps women off their feet.

I know you're out there, awkward Italians. You're not all like that. Don't even pretend. I know better, I've been to Rome.

Mohammed Avdol, from Jojo, however, is nice. The "Avdol" part of his name is weird, but I owe that to how Katakana works.

Yet, Avdol is a very accurate representation of the Afro-Arabs. North African tribes that married with South African tribes and created their own subculture that is honestly a very flashy (his dress represents this) and superstitious (his involvement in magic and tarot cards represents this).

>Movement is always better than Range
lol out loud
>>
>>13986402
The usefulness of +1 movement vs +1 range is heavily dependent on the unit in question.

Coustwell for example would benefit significantly more from +1 range because of its piss poor max range of 4. Where as units like Combattler would prefer the extra movement because of their terrible base move.
>>
>>13986484
Yeah, +1 move is for bringing up a 5/6 movement unit.
>>
>>13986464
I felt bad for all of them in The After Years if you fought them with Golbez in your party.

>>
>>13986515
TAY is strange.

Emulate the PSP version of 4 since the Wii version you have to pay for additional chapters

Plus some characters can be killed off (like the Ninjas in Edge's chapter if they die in their stories, the dolls in Cid's chapter, and Golbez in the final chapter if you don't fight a certain boss Brainwashed Cecil with 4 specific people
>>
>>13986490

I don't really bother with giving movement parts to units like Hyperion and Arios. I let stuff like Dash or ace bonuses cover that.

Speaking of which Dash really needs to get its ass over into OG.
>>
>>13986522
Thanks for the heads up, I'll do it someday for sure.

>>13986528
>Speaking of which Dash really needs to get its ass over into OG.
This this this a thousand fucking times this.

>>13986526
I don't even remember what I gave him. And it'd probably only make sense to me anyway.
>>
>>13986528
As long as everyone's got 6 movement before Accel I don't really give a shit how fast they are. I just slap movement parts on whoever I want to get up close first once everyone's movement is brought to acceptavle levels. Which is pretty easy since almost no one ends up with only 5 movement.
>>
>>13986536
My baseline is 7 but that's only feasible in games with Infight or Dash.
>>
>>13986536
After playing enough FE and TO, I value movement a hell of a lot more than most stats. You can never have enough movement since each extra point (same for range too) gives me significantly more options for positioning.
>>
>>13986536
>>13986528
Not with the kind of hardware OG packs, no.
Considering the skill parts available, a Dash skill might just be pushing it, imho.
>>
>>13986528
I'm still annoyed they never gave Arios a DK.

Is this the price to pay for having wonderful animations?
>>
>TAY
Ah, good times.
Nothing like a myriad of combo attacks with themes (lance users, ninjas, nextgen, magic users, kings, whip users, FF)
The thing I didn't like about it was its disconnected stupid fucking cash grabbing chapter system.
They could've easily made it like its predecessor, but they had to go split it up into chapters which you had to fucking pay for each one.

>>13986553
Dash is never pushing it, and we don't know if OGMD is going to have Dash or buyable ability shit like DP did. If they are, then yeah, I'm going to give every single pair Move and Range+1, so if Dash isn't in the game I wouldn't be THAT bothered.
>>
>>13986523
Hyper Boost is the funniest ability.

>>13986549
SRW doesn't put nearly as much emphasis on placement, though. Especially the easier games. We were talking J, in that you want more range so all the enemies can kill themselves on Granteed's invincible ass during the enemy phase.
>>
>>13986562
Hopefully they tweak the AP you earn if they keep that system, in DP you didn't get much in a single run.

I didn't like the Augment system the DS version had.
>>
>>13986599

It made for hilariously broken combos, like giving Cecil counter and I think it was called lure, so every physical attacker attacked the wall of HP and defense that Cecil was and got counterattacked for its efforts
>>
>>13986604
I wonder if they'd give Cecil Samurai2 via Record Dive in FF Record Keeper as a nod to that. He can already use Draw Fire.

I'm fine with it as a concept but the whole "You need to use x number of augments by y point in the game for z augment" feels so incredibly wasteful it put me off the game entirely. Especially since I like hoarding such things until late-game when the party is ironed out.

I was gonna play it when I heard it had NG+
and then I heard you can only NG+ twice
who the fuck does that
why even add the option in the first place

Imagine if SRW did that now, that's be fucking stupid.
But you know what isn't fucking stupid and should be a thing? A stage select mode.
I don't know, just access it from the main menu, load one of your saved games, and the game sends you to the intermission with that saved game's total earned PP averaged out and total money earned ready to spend, on top of every character you got, so you can replay whatever mission you want with whatever setup you want.

because I end up making separate saves for a stage I want to replay without needing to beat the game all over again all the time and it ends up being kind of a bother
>>
>>13987244
