Field Repair

Basically what this means is that rather than the mobile suit being fresh out of a factory, it's quite the opposite. Whether it's trudging through dense jungles or dodging debris in asteroid belts, your mobile suit has seen some better days.
You've been out in the field for quite a long time now, nearly half a year of active duty in the front lines and your personal mobile suit's pretty banged up. What's worse is the fact that there isn't a maintenance bay within several thousand kilometers of your local area that's capable of making any major repairs. Your unit's engineering crew has resorted to patch work and jury-rigging to keep your machine operational. Stray fire might have crippled its legs and arms or otherwise dealt considerable damage to a mobile suit's systems meanwhile some units have simply lost bits of armor and panels to the elements and have been forced to patch weld metal sheets over the exposed inner workings.
In any case it's beaten to hell but somehow you and your team have somehow kept it chugging along and now command's ordered all units operating in your theatre to fall back to form a defensive line against the enemy offensive.

Finally finished building my The O. Intresting enough, the monoeye is actually a white peg that sits underneath the black visor. It definitely has a lot more contrast than a sticker or translucent piece.

Other than that its a real excellent kit. I would advise caution with building the little verniers everywhere. They're quite small.

The HMM Zoid kits are newer than most of the SRW kits, so they're much better quality. They're pretty solid buys, even if they're still not quite Bandai quality.

I got the SRDS Soulgain last week and was very pleasantly surprised with it, so you might want to look at those too. It was bigger than I expected, about the height of an HG.

I had the Zeta Plus in Amuro colors. The mobile suit mode never locked together well for me, especially the legs. Any kind of joint movement instantly untabbed. Pic related as that would always open up and caused the kit to fall and domino the rest of my master grades.

Neat suggestion but I've been wanting to stick to just Gundam-faced suits. Shul Shagana is the hardest of the bunch for me since there's no immediate choice that matches the themes of sawblades, rollerskates, twin tails, or flat. Having it stand at eye level with Dess-Scythe is a goal too which limits my choices quite a bit.

Current idea I have right now is using either some late-UC suit like the V2 or a HGAW/FC kit and throw some Powered Arms on the back with these Lego sawblades I've had lying around. Just need to decide what kit though.

fml it doesnt matter how I approach it I can not for the life of me get these drilled right. Ive tried everything I can think of. Used a ruler to mark out spots to drill. Some how never stay aligned even when dead center. I tried using a tube one size bigger to make a single hole then slid the marked smaller tube through and same problems. Doesnt matter how I go about it it always seems to go slightly off.

I use my smallest pin vise first to make sure its centered, gradually build up to size I need it to be. Then go to next hole and again slightly off of to big. I just want to make a fluted barrel for my suits gun.

I autistically denub every single piece, even the interior bits that won't get seen, but I usually only panel lined the bits that I think are really important and would look better lined mainly because I'm a Jew and I only have two 005 Pigma Microns to panel line with and I won't shell out for proper Gundam Markers until they both run out of ink.

But I did my HG Mk.II Revive the same time he did, and it's just my fourth kit, and seeing how bad his looked unlined was the impetus for me to completely and properly line mine. I'm very satisfied with the way mine looks, and I know that it's at the very least way better than his.
So if there's one upside to his shitposting, it's that he does serve as motivation to improve and try harder. I may not paint, and I don't have god hands to perfectly and neatly remove nubs, but I can take solace in the fact that at least I'm not as bad as him.
