I watched Armageddon, Shin vs Neo, and New Getter. Honestly, I thought they were all about a 7/10. I haven't seen any of the older Getter series, outside of their appearances in SRW.

The original show is the epitome of the 70s monster-of-the-week formula, and is pretty fun for it. Worth the watch if you have the time. I've only seen parts of G, but it seems to continue the same pattern.

The OVAs are good but very different, being much more in tune with the manga, which is a lot more story-driven and violent.

Getter Robo saga is both, pretty much essential mecha for anyone that likes the genre

The Toei TV shows are okay at best, not really worth much. The 3 OVAs are nice, but is nothing more than fan service for those who already read the manga
