Well then, this makes my post in another thread extremely awkward.

Despite its shortcomings, I liked SEED Destiny because I like stories where the main character takes a back seat in the beginning only to make a triumphant return later on.

I hate reading that she had something to do with Cyber Formula

Chiaki Morosawa was brought in to do the scripts for the last 2 OVAs of Cyber Forrmula (SAGA and SIN). She just wrote the bare bones character drama parts. Which in a 90% action sports anime, mean fuck all.

A majority of the story, writing, concepts and racing lingo was done by her husband who was well versed in Formula-1 in Japan. He just let her ugly ass get the credit because she did the early drafts of the character drama stuff (which again, makes up for almost none of the OVAs). She tried to take out the race queens and put in her fujoshi bullshit.

I am glad she is gone, she was a terrible writer

Despite their flaws I actually enjoy SEED and Destiny, but Destiny had a lot of continuity issues that pissed me off. I think Shinn could have been a great protagonist if they didn't pull a 180 after each development point. He had more of a reason to be pissed initially than Kamille did. When he killed off Kira, Kira should have remained dead and Shinn should have become a free thinker over the events that transpired. Shinn should have been the one to fight Rey in the end and save the day, not a fucking end mini-boss. I had fun with Cross Ange too, so I'm not totally against Fukuda. I just hope that without her meddling he can create something better, but it does suck that his wife died.
